An Ode to Grandfather

In each breath,
Each beat of your heart,
There remains a love unabated.
As flowers with their gardener,
Cared for without ceasing,
So the seeds sowed
Sprinkle the ground
With the light in your soul.
The rain comes in torrents,
But you stand over,
Taking each flow of water,
On your back with a smile,
Bright as the sun.
Never did you show,
The flowers the darkness
You faced time and time again.
Never did you make them feel,
As though they were insignificant
In the scheme of life.
They blossomed in your love,
In your protection,
To be stronger than the thickest vine,
And shining with love as you.

Hullo lovelies!
I may have a couple ode's coming on this topic. I'm experimenting/attempting to come up with something worthy of giving to my grandfather in person. He too is a fan of poetry and used to write his own. While this one turned out alright, it's still not quite what I'm looking for.

Thank you for reading
