-(Y/n)'s P.O.V-

I smiled as Papa held Giulia's hand, triple checking everything once again.

"And you have your lunch for the train?"

Papa knelt down in front of her.

"Si."

"Sweater? If it gets cold?"

"For the millionth time, si!"

Giulia hugged Papa once more before grabbing her suitcase.

"I love you too, Papa!"

"Santa mozzarella, we did it."

Alberto held out a fist while smiling.

"Well, Giulia. Can't wait to race next summer."

I rolled my eyes as Giulia gave Alberto a fist bump.

"Or we could just have fun."

Giulia quickly hugged Luca and Alberto. I watched them smile at each other before hugging her back.

"Ciao, Giulia."

Giulia let go of the hug, gave me a quick hug and climbed onto the train.

"Ciao ragazzi! See ya!"

Giulia winked at Alberto, while he looked at me and Luca. Looking back, he winked at her. Giulia smiled one more time before going into the train cart completely.

Luca sighed while rubbing his eyes.

"Well, let's go fix up our Vespa."

I looked at Alberto, when he made eye contact I nodded to Luca with a smile.

"Yeah, about that. Uh... It's a crazy thing. I might have sold it."

Luca looked at Alberto before looking at me as I handed him a train ticket to Genova. Luca took the ticket, looking at it confused. He looked up at us as his family came by.

"Luca?"

He turned around and looked at his mom very confused.

"Mom? What are you all doing here?"

Luca's mom knelt down to Luca's height and put a hand on his shoulder.

"If you promise to write to us every single day and be as safe as possible, and I mean safer than safe, you can go to school."

Luca jumped at the words that his mother said.

"I can?"

"It's all arranged, actually. You'd stay with Giulia and her mom."

Luca's father handed him a bag. He looked at his mom before his grandma pointed at Alberto.

"Your friend talked them into it. It wasn't easy."

Alberto poked my side playfully before looking at Luca.

"Well, (Y/n) was the one who talked me into getting you the ticket..."

Luca looked at me.

"You... You did?"

I sighed and rubbed the back of my neck.

"Alberto and I hated seeing you upset, so we thought we'd help you do the thing you kept saying you want to do."

Luca's mom put a hand on Luca's shoulder.

"Luca, do you promise?"

Luca quickly dropped his bag and turned to hug his family.

"YES! Yes, I promise! Thank you."
