Meanwhile, while you were sitting on the roof, waiting out the storm that was going on inside the house, Akito was stumped.

He reached a dead end.

He turned to Yuki, Kyo, and Tohru. They were just as confused as he was.

"What the hell is going on? Where is she?" asked Akito.

Yuki thought this was the perfect chance to lie out of this.

"We never said she was here," said Yuki.

Akito glared at him. "Are you trying to say she's not here?"

Kyo caught on and decided to help.

"Isn't it obvious? You searched the whole house and confirmed it yourself," said Kyo.

Akito couldn't help but notice that he was being cornered.

"Kureno, we're leaving," he said as he swiftly walked out of the room and down the stairs.

Kureno followed Akito from behind.

Yuki, Kyo, and Tohru took a breath of relief.

Yuki then glared at Shigure. He had so many things he wanted to say to him, but he had no choice but to save them for later.

Akito is still here and he doesn't want him to know that Y/n was here the whole time.

The rest of them went down the stairs after Akito.

Akito was found at the door staring at Y/n's shoes.

"Why are you staring at our shoes?" asked Kyo. He then came to a realization. "Is that why-"

Yuki quickly hit the top of his head with his superhuman strength, shutting him up with a painful blow.

"Stop saying nonsense and just shut up for one second," said Yuki, trying to act normal.

"You little-"

"Ugh. You're making my head hurt," said Akito with an irritated voice.

Kyo reluctantly stayed quiet.

Akito left through the doorway and the others followed him out.

He got into his black car with Kureno in the driver's seat.

"Until next time," he said and they drove off.

When they couldn't see the car anymore, they could all breathe again. He was finally gone.

"Now, what the hell happened to Y/n? Did she freaking teleport or did she turn herself invisible with her wicked witch of the west powers?" asked Kyo with a sarcastic tone.

"There's still one place Akito didn't check," said Yuki.

"And where would that be?" asked Tohru.

Yuki pointed at the top of the house. "The rooftop. Remember, there are two windows in your bedroom, Tohru. She probably used one of them to escape," said Yuki.

Shigure did a small applause. "As expected of Yuki. Such an intelligent young man you are, Yuki-kun," he said.

"This all happened because of you. Man's best friend? I think not," said Yuki as he headed toward the house.

"Hey, I didn't know Y/n would be coming here. Geez, you can be harsh sometimes. I have feelings too," said Shigure with a dramatic voice.

"Will shut it already?" said Kyo.

"Y/n! Where are you!?" Yuki called out.

"Over here!" you answered. You were hidden on the right hand side of the house.

Yuki ran over to where you were. He then took something out of his pocket.

"Catch!" he threw the bracelet Akito returned and you successfully caught it.

"This is..." you stared at the bracelet in your hands. It was all fixed.

"I want you to put that on and jump!" he said as he spread his arms wide open.

"N-no way!"

"Then do you want to crawl back to Tohru's window and risk falling off?" he asked with his arms inviting you in.

You looked over to where Tohru's window was. It was pretty far.

Now that you thought about it, the roof was slightly slanted, which gave you an even bigger risk of slipping and falling off.

You wondered how you were even able to make it this far.

"You promise you'll catch me?"

"I promise!" said Yuki.

You hesitantly put on the bracelet.

You gulped as you took one last look at the ground below, your stomach turning here and there.

Then you looked at Yuki.

"Okay, here I come."

You jumped off the edge with a shrill scream.

You opened your eyes and noticed you landed safely in his arms.

"See? I never break a promise," said Yuki with his rare, beaming smile.
