Then he put on the best poker face he could after he looked at his card.

"Commander, hit me." Data said. (Is it just me or does Data look super cute with that lil green visor on?)

(Yes it's green, dealers wear visors to relieve eye strain, and yes, it's also called a visor lmao)

Will tossed him a card.

He looked at it and said "I fold."

"Three out of six fold? I need to get the rest of you out so I can win." He joked.

"Commander-" Data started talking.

"I was joking Data." He said.

He nodded in understanding.

"Let's make this interesting, ante up." Will said.

Everyone who was still in put chips in the middle.

"I'll double." Beverly said.

Will shot a look at Beverly, and said "Good hand?"

"I would assume so, Commander." Data said.

Beverly put on a poker face.

"Me too, but how would you know if I'm bluffing?" She said.

Geordi said "Hit me."

Will tossed him another card and he looked at it and said "I'm out, I fold." As he put his cards upside down.

"Ante up." He said and they put more in.

"I'll double." She said.

"You must have a good hand, Doctor, or else you wouldn't be betting doubles." Will said.

She stayed quiet as she put more in.

"Too rich for my blood." Will said and folded.

Beverly put her hand down and she had exactly 21.

"Wow Beverly." I smiled.

She wrapped her arms around the pot and pulled it all towards her.

"Intriguing." Data said.

Geordi smiled and said "Great poker face Doctor."

She smiled and said "Thank you."

Everyone gave their cards to Will to shuffle into the deck.

"Counselor, I have heard from countless people that you have a daughter who is coming aboard." Data said as Will shuffled.

I smiled "Countless? Are you exaggerating Data?"

"Yes, I am exaggerating, Counselor, it is something that humans do."

All of us—except Worf and Data—laughed.

"I told him, I heard it from Barclay." Geordi said.

"Is it true Deanna? I've heard talk all over the ship." Beverly asked.

"I have heard that she was the top of her class for Tactical Analysis." Worf said.

"She's very honorable."

"Yes it's all true, I have a daughter and yes, she did graduate from the very top of her class." I said proudly.

"How old is your daughter Deanna?" Beverly asked.

"17."

"Wesley's age." She said.

I nodded.

"Who's the father?" She asked.

I looked at Will, with a look that asked 'Can I tell her?' And he nodded in affirmation.

I looked back at Beverly and I said "Will is."

Everyone went quiet, Data and Geordi looking at each other with a look.

"You mean... that Will?" Geordi asked as he pointed at Will.

"Yes." I nodded.

"I didn't know you two had a child." Beverly said.

"Neither did I until a few days ago." Will said.

Data's head turned slightly.

"I thought Ian was the only child you had."

It went quiet again.

"Ian?" Beverly asked.

"Yes, a life form that was exploring space came in contact with the Enterprise was wondering what it was like to be humanoid, so it impregnated me to understand what it was like to be born, to be cared for, to be loved, and then he disappeared back into space the next day." I explained.

"Wow, does your daughter know about him?"

I nodded.

"What's her name?" Geordi asked.

"Y/n."

"Beautiful name." Beverly said and almost everyone agreed.

"I also agree, it does sound pleasing." Data said.

"Thank you." I said and giggled.
