The Space Between

Hey guys, this and the next few chapters will be almost filler chapters. The season three section of this book will start off slightly differently in that Tommy and Adaline are going to get married and we are going to see a bit of their life before the drama of season three starts. 

I wanted to include some detail between Adaline and Flo planning the wedding and Adaline and Tommy's time spent together, like them purchasing arrow house, going on their honeymoon and other bits and pieces 

Instead of a wedding being the start for season three it will just be a big party that is happening at arrow house maybe a birthday or anniversary party of some kind, I'm not sure yet but I will leave a note letting you know it's the start. In the meantime enjoy a glimpse into their lives.

Since the Derby, Tommy had spent almost three weeks with Adaline, refusing to leave her side unless he had business to attend to in Small Heath. As Adaline got ready for the day leaving the room to make a cup of tea, Tommy rolled over in bed to see that Adaline wasn't there and he started to worry, he couldn't figure out where she would be, she was always in bed when he woke up and now she was gone, jumping out of bed running into the living room and then into the kitchen he saw her ready for the day unsure of where she was going, Tommy was never one to worry before but after the derby, he realised his biggest fear was losing Adaline and the best way he could protect her was to be with her at all times, he knew this wasn't realistic but it was what made him feel at ease for now and so he would spend the time he had with her. 

"Are you okay Tommy?" Adaline asked slightly concerned

"You weren't in bed, I was just looking for you." 

"Oh, well I'm going to Flo and Charlie's to check on them and the baby, would you like to come?" 

"Alright," Tommy said slightly apprehensively, Tommy had only met Charlie and  Flo once and then was when Adaline had first returned to Small Heath 

"No need to sound so worried Tommy, they are my friends and your my fiancee, now get dressed otherwise I'm leaving you here," She said handing him a cup of tea and giving him a kiss 

As Tommy got ready they headed out the door making their way to Flo and Charlie's house with a basket of things Adaline had put together for Flo and the baby. Reaching the house Adaline knocked on the door but before they could open the door Adaline gave Tommy a kiss 

"Be nice," Adaline said to Tommy but all he did was smile sarcastically giving her a kiss on the lips back before the door opened 

"Hi Charlie, you remember Tommy right?" Adaline said 

"Alright Addi, Tommy, come on in," Charlie said welcoming them into their house. 

Flo and Tommy didn't have lots of money nor did they live in a big house but it was a home, from the moment you stepped in the door you felt the love that radiated between the two of them, so it didn't matter that it wasn't the nicest house because everyone was welcome in their home. As Adaline and Tommy removed their coats and made their way into the living room, Addi saw Flo with the baby in her hands and instantly gave Tommy the basket of things she had brought, running over giving her friend a gentle hug, admiring the gorgeous baby girl in her arms. 

"You aren't going to be able to separate them now mate, trust me," Charlie said to Tommy who just smirked watching Adaline with her best friend 

"She brought this for Flo and the baby, There's whiskey in there for you" Handing the basket to Charlie, who walked off placing it down as Tommy moved to stand by Adaline
