"What are you doing here?" I asked Acerdel when I saw him beside the open door. He step inside my room.
"You sing very well." He compliment not minding my question.
Naupo ito sa tabi ko.
"Let me try." sabi niya at kinuha sa akin ang guitara na hawak hawak ko. Hindi na ba siya galit sa ginawa ko kanina.
"A woman like you deserve to serenade by his suitor." dagdag niya pa. Seryoso siya habang sinasabi iyon.
"You can sing?" May pagkagulat kong tanong.
He stares at me in a seconds and smile.
Hindi ko alam kung ano ba talaga ang pakay niya sa akin. Is he serious about courting me? O inaasar niya lang si Vien?
He started to play the guitar using his fingers and started singing softly.

The first verse he sang.

He have this smooth and clear pronunciation of the words. He also has this good quality of voice and vocal. He's voice sounds very familiar to my ears I'm sure that I already heard his voice before. I just can't remember where and when did I hear it.

Every girls love's to be serenade by someone. Hindi ko maitatangging kinikilig ako. This is my first time to hear him singing.

I'm not familiar by the song he sang but my ears are enjoying his song. I even close my eyes just to feel it. I felt disappointed when he stops singing.
I look at him with a confusing look.
"Sorry. I can't sing the high notes." he apologetic said while smiling meaningfully.
"Ooh"
"You look enjoyed when you hear my voice singing." He haughtily said.
"Yes I am. I never thought that you could also sing that very well." I compliment and smiled genuinely.
"I'm glad to know you'd enjoyed." He said with a smile on his lips.
"This might be your first time to serenade by someone?" He asked.
Harana ba ang tawag niya don. Dati din naman akong kinakantahan ni Darren sa harapan ko.
"It's not a serenade Mr. Montefalco." I said.
"Really. So, what should a man do to call it serenade?" He asked again.
"A man should sing below the window not directly infront of the woman." I said that made his lips form a smile.
"There are houses that has no second floor to call below the window." palusot pa nito.
"Well bad at you. We have second floor." I said then smirk that made him laugh.
"Okay then. You have the point but we're in a better generation, what do you expect?" He said.
"I would prefer the traditional than the modern one." I simply said.
"Alright. Maybe next time. You live on a modern day but you want the traditional. That's not hard." He said while chuckling.
"Whatever you say." maldita kong sabi. Ang hambog niya kahit kailan.
"Nga pala anong title nang kinanta mo?" Curious kong tanong.
"Umh.... I just made it up." he said plainly.
"Really? When did you composed it?" Mangha at gulat kong tanong.
"Awhile ago." he answered shortly.
I'm shocked with a little bit doubt. How can he composed in a short time. Genius? Creative?
"Liar." I said while laughing in a disbelief tone.
Imposible naman talaga kasing kanina niya lang ni-compose 'yon.
"I'm serious." he said. I stared at him hoping that he'll take back of what he said but he really looks serious.
"So sino naman ang tinutukoy mo sa kantang ginawa mo?" Usisa ko rito.
He chuckled and answer.
"My special someone." He answered happily that make my heart ache. Traydor na puso, bakit ka ba nagrereact?
Pasimple kong ipinilig ang aking ulo para mawala sa isipan ko ang mga katagang binitawan niya. Bakit ba kasi umasa pa ako na ako 'yong 'special someone' na tinutukoy niya.
Pareho kaming natahimik na dalawa so I decided to bring back the life of our topic.
"Unbelievable. I can't imagine I just met an incredible man like you. I mean, you composed it fast and quick." natatawa kong sabi. His fantastic. He really was.
How can he composed that fast?
"Think and good memory. Learn how to connect by your heart to all words you've let out from your mouth. That's how you composed easily." Makahulogan niyang sabi.
Sana ganon ka rin sa akin Acerdel. 'Connect by your heart to all words you've let out from your mouth' nice.
"So bakit sinabi mong high notes na ang susunod na kakatantahin mo kanina kung ikaw lang pala ang nag-compose niyan?" Nagtataka kong tanong.
"I just want." Sabi niya na nagpagulo sa akin. May saltik talaga 'to.
Nginitian ko na lang ito at saka muling nagtanong.
"By the way ano pala ang pinag-usapan niyo ni dad nong araw na pinuntahan kita sa kwarto mo?" Usisa ko rito.
Kasi naman ang aga akong tinawagan ni dad nong nakaraang araw para lang sabihan si Acerdel na sagotin ang mga tawag niya. Halos 5 minutes nga lang ako naligo dahil pinapabilis ako ni daddy na sahihan kaagad siya.
"Nothing important." he simply said. Seryoso ba siya? Di naman siguro ako i-isturbohin ni dad ng ganon kaaga na wala lang siyang importantanteng sasabihin rito.
"But............." He cut me off by asking a question.
"You owned this guitar, since when? It looks old." Puna nito sa guitara ko nang pasadahan niya ito nang tingin. Halata ko namang iniiba niya lang ang usapan. Maybe they've talk something confidential.
Kaya Hindi na lang ako muling nagtanong pa tungkol doon at pinakatitigan na lang din guitara ko.
My guitar looks old but it doesn't matter when it given by the person who is important to you.
"It's given by my childhood best friend named Darren." I said.
Mahabang kahatimikan ang bumalot sa amin bago niya napag desisyonan na matulog na.
Yeah. I remember now where I heard that voice. I gasped in disbelief. 'So siya 'yong kumanta nong araw na may lagnat ako? I thought it was just a dream of mine or I'm just hallucinating'. I confidently says that it was really him, it's Acerdel. It was his beautiful voice. Wala nang iba pa.
