What If?-Donnie Edition

Shellashed Pt.2

Leo yelped and tried to push Donnie off, Master Splinter ran in, he gasped quietly seeing Donnie alive...he ran to him and pulled him off Leonardo.

"My son calm down, it is me Donatello your father.." he said softly holding Donnie down.

But Donnie wouldn't budge he kept struggling and screaming, shouting "Where is it?!" Over and over again. Master Splinter knew Donnie wouldn't calm down as he gave a swift motion and Donnie was out like a light.

"I want an explanation. Now." He frowned.

"That's just it Sensei! We can't! We just found him in the sewers, he doesn't seem to remember us..." Leo mumbled softly.

"I think I know what happened." Raph frowned walking over.

Everyone turned their attention to Raphael. Intrigued about what he would say.

"I think Donnie got double mutated...his eyes are just like Slash's when he was first mutated....maybe Donnie's brain is being affected by the mutagen." Raph looked at Donnie, happy his brother was back, but sad that he didn't seem like himself.

"That could explain why he can shapeshift into us...we were the last thing he touched.." Leonardo stated.

Mikey whimpered "S-so will he be back to normal in a few days?"

"I do not know Michaelangelo." Splinter frowned.

"For now we need to keep Donatello in the cage. To make sure he doesn't hurt anyone or himself.." Leo mumbled.

Everyone nodded, Raph got Donnie back into the cage and made sure it was locked. Leo walked over and bent down on one knee, he frowned seeing his broken brother. He couldn't save him, and now he lost himself...if only he was a better leader, if only he had listened to Donatello, if only...he was a better brother...

Master Splinter left the room after a while while the brothers stayed staring at Donatello, each one blaming themselves. It was silence for hours, until they heard the faint groaning from the turtle in the cage. Donatello slowly woke up and looked around, his pupils dilated and alert if his surroundings. Mikey slowly walked over, trying not to startle his brother.

"Donnie, hey it's me...Mikey, do you remember me?.." he asked softly.

Donatello turned to Michaelangelo, slowly relaxing but still on guard "M-mikey......" He mumbled softly.

Leonardo smiled slightly "Yeah....hey it's okay, we'll take care of you bro." He said slowly walking into Donnie's view.

Donatello looked at Leo and he relaxed a little more "L-leo..." He tilted his head as he got up into a sitting position.

Raphael walked over and smiled "Hey there Bro....glad to see you're awake..." He kneeled down and tilted his head slightly smiling to his brother.

Donnie's lips quivered slightly, as if scared "R-raph?..." He mumbled, his vision still wasn't fully working, he wasn't sure if he was seeing Raph, or the turtle who tried murdering him...

Raph frowned slightly "Hey hey, it's alright. It's just me, Raph...no one is gonna hurt you I promise..."

Donnie's body relaxed as he slowly crawled over "G-guys..." He sniffled and smiles slightly, his happiness triggering the transformation into Mikey.

Mikey couldn't help but giggle, it was still strange seeing his brother being able to transform into them, but he was happy to see him smiling. Leo smiled and held out his hand through the bars.

"Don't worry Donnie... we'll help you." He smiled slightly.

Donnie held his hand and relaxed as he turned into Leo "T-thank you...."

Raph chuckled "Wow... it's cool seeing you transform, can be very useful in the future when you get back on your feet."

"Give him time Raph, he still has that huge hole on his shell..." Leo frowned.

Donatello looked behind him and frowned seeing the hole, he growled now angered to the fact that his brother saw him as weak. Turning into Raph, suddenly bloody tentacles sprouted out of his shell grabbing onto the bars of the cage and prying them open. His brother scream in shock and backed away.

"Way to go Leo you made him angry!" Raph shouted.

"How do you know he's angry?!'

"He's me Leo! What else would he be?! Happy?!" Raph growled.

"I-!" Leo couldn't respond, Donnie grabbed Leo by the throat with his tentacle.

"I am not weak!!" He growled "I can defend myself!" He shouted in Raph's voice.

Leo gulped "S-sorry!" He choked out.

Donnie let him go and passed out. Everyone rushed to him to make sure he was okay. Leo thought he was stable enough and took him to his bedroom to rest. Hoping that soon Donnie would be in his right mind, and not attack them like he did just a little ago. And maybe everything would go back to normal...but with the turtles. Nothing is normal anymore.
