Finding Felicity.

Chapter 4

Declan's POV

As I drive through the dark night, I watch as the trees pass in a blur, and I think to myself, "what will happen and how can I protect Felicity without endangering her more than she already is."
Pulling up to a little cozy looking hotel I think it's best that we rest for the night and do something tomorrow. I can tell Felicity is tired and I know she needs the rest. Plus we're out of our old pack's territory already so we're safe for now if we can avoid other pack's territories.
"C'mon Felicity.." I tell her while grabbing ahold of the bag she brought with her. She only nods back as we head into the hotel. "One room." I ask the clerk behind the desk. He looks between me and a sleepy Felicity and I could only imagine what he thinks about this situation. I havnt been able to shave because we left thw house in such a hurry so I'm starting to look a bit scruffy. So here I am with this petite, pretty, young looking girl. Little does he know this situation is nothing like he thinks. "Here you go. Room 26." The clerk replies while giving me a little golden key. Felicity and I begin our walk up the staires outside to get to the second floor, but I feel like someone is watching us. I look around but only see the dark night air almost completly engulfing us except for the little lights being given off from the street lights. I hurry and unlock the door while I usher Felicity into the room closing the door and locking it securely. "I'm going to take a shower and relax okay Dec?" She tells me. I replied telling her it was fine but I would be going in to shave at some point. I lay on the bed for what seemed a very long time and I ran my hands through my hair wondering what I'm going to do or where we're going to stay. We can't stay living off of hotels. I get up and walk to the bathroom knocking on the door. "Come innn." I hear her say. Walking in a start getting my basic bathroom necesities out. I begin shaving as I listen to her soft humming in the shower. Suddenly her singing stops abruptly. "Hey declan. Do you think I can find out what happened to my mom?" She askes me in a low voice. "I hope you never have too," I think to myself. "I have faith you can do anything you truly put your mind to." I reply honestly. Walking out of the bathroom I change and crawl under some covers I laid out on the floor. I hear Felicity come out of the bathroom and just stop walking. "What are you doing on that nasty floor Declan! You cant sleep there. Get up and lay down." She tells me sternly. Reluctantly I get up and get underneath the covers on the bed. I stay awake until I hear the soft noise of her breaths. Suddenly, she turns and hugs herself to my body as her breaths fan my chest. I can't find it within myself to move her so I lay still and drift into a dreamless sleep.

Felicity's POV

Poking Declan in his face I try to wake him up because I'm getting hungry and restless. "Declan.. Dec.. Declannnn." I call to him. He still won't wake up so I decide to let him sleep. I look at the clock to see it reads 4 am. I can't wake him to take us out to eat so I decide to just grab a few dollars to get something from a vending machine I saw outside on the first floor.
Slipping out of the door I start walking downstairs to the vending machine. I put in my money and click the buttons for a hershey's bar. But with my luck the stupid thing gets stuck! Yes STUCK!
I just stare at the stupid metal machine with pure hatred and I hit it trying to get the candy bar to fall. I continue trying to get it out because I can't just give up on it. I mean it's food for crying out loud! Then I hear a deep laugh from behind me. Startled, I turn around fast, putting my back against the machine. I don't see anyone at first until they step out into the light. A small, white haired woman with a brown haired man. "Who are you!" I ask trying to sound brave as I possibly can. I just can't shake the creeps I get while I look into the pitch black eyes of the woman. She then step closer to me and smiles. "I'm Phenex." She replies with a slithery tone in her voice that sends chills to my bones. The man next to her sniffs the air and looks straight at me. "You have such a tempting scent, I dont think I can control myself young one." He states. "Now now Ravan, she isn't a toy. We need to destroy her while we have her." She says while smiling at me. Next thing I know Ravan's hand has a viper-like grip around my throat and Phenex is whispering in my ear. "Don't worry, we'll make this as quick as possible unlike the other demons who would play with you first. We'll do it quick and as simplest as we can unpure one." She whispers to me. I start to see black dots throughout my vision. Right before everything falls completly dark I hear words being shouted.. I'm just to tired to try and figure out who it is...
