It was once again time for Adi to leave which means spending 10 mins at the gate saying bye.
But this time Tara's dad took 20 mins saying bye because he kept asking Adi if his cooking had any magic.
"Nangalum idhe biryani thaan cook panrom but epdi da unnodathu mattum ivlo nalla iruku"
"Therlaye" Adi replied modestly
Once again he started a wave of compliments and Adi just stood their flustered, not knowing how to deal with him.
Tara lost her patience
"Appaaaaa. Naane 10 nimisham thaan bye solluven. Which is a lot. But neenga athayum thaandi 20 minutes avara nikka vechu pesitu irukeenga. Purila enaku"
Her father smiled sheepishly
She understood his smile
"Oh my god, you want him to stay and cook dinner too don't you?" she said in disbelief
He just nodded not wanting to embarrass himself more
Adi looked at this father daughter duo. He laughed out loud and walked back inside the gate.
He pinched the old man's cheeks
"Appaaaa itha neenga direct ah ketruntha gate veliya kosu kadi vaangitu nindraka maatene. Seri sollunga enna venum nu dinner super ah panidalam"
Tara's father looked at him with a smile
"Nee upma thavira ethu panalum happy ah sapduven da. But are you sure? Ethachum vela iruka enna? You can leave if you want"
He just hugged the most adorable father he has ever met
"Ungalukaaga panama vera yaruku pana poren. Epdiyo veetuku pona na thaniya samachi thaniya sapdanum. But ipo, I get to eat with my family again" he smiled contently
Tara just stared at the two important men in her life - Adi and Krishnan (her father) - who seemed to share a beautiful bond.
"Ennaku ithu pothum" she thought

Krishnan took Adi and Tara in happily.
Her mother turned from the tv to see the trio laughing
"Enna appavum ponnum kelambren nu sonna pullaya pudichu iluthitu vanteengala"
"Iluthitu thaan vanthom but anbaala" her father replied
"Maaa appa samalikuraru. Dinner samaika soli kuptu vantaru"
Her mom stood up and hit him lightly
"Ennanga neenga inga avan samaika va vanthitu poran"
"Maa vidunga na thaan okay soliten la. Dinner seiren neenga tension aagatheenga" he said casually and left to the kitchen
He came back like he left something important.
Tara stood there smiling when he came and took her hand.
He dragged her away to the kitchen wordlessly.
"Renu nee etho ketiye samaikava vanthirukan nu. Ipo bathil sollava" Krishnan smirked
"Pchh summa irunga" she laughed
....
"Adi nee patuku iluthitu vara. Avunga enna nenaipanga"
"Hmmm enna nenaipanga? Romance panrom nu nenaipanga"
"Shoooo ketathu en thappu thaan po poi dinner pannu" she pushed him
"Chappati panlama?"
"Enaku double okay"
She was sitting on the counter eating pringles while he kneaded the dough beside her.
She fed him the chips but stopped after a point as she was getting hungry. She is selfish when it comes to food.
He kept staring at her now and then
She didn't even look at him as she was busy in enjoying the chips alone
"Sitharaaaa" he called out in his base voice. He knew it would do the trick
She immediately turned
"Enna innum konjam chips venuma"
"Ada po ma" he got back to kneading the dough sadly.
"Ivlo neram nalla thaana iruntha Adi ipo enna aachu?" She kept her hands on his cheeks and made him face her.
He was taken aback by her gesture. A blush crept on his face.
Tara mentally smirked as he figured out his weakness.
"Sollu enna aachu" she purposefully let her hand stay, knowing the effect she had on him
"Tha ba ba onnum ila" he wiggled her hands away.
But she wanted to tease him more,
"Enna Adi vaai la type adikureenga"
"Summa iru ma" he said shifting places so they wouldn't be so close
"Seri seri na kalaikala. Enna solla vanthe nu solidu"
"Ipo venam seri aaiduchu"
"Etheyy olunga sollidu Adi! Enaku curiosity thaangathu"
"Seri solren but kalaikatha"
"Okay" she suppressed a giggled
He studied her for a minute and said
"Ila..films la elaam"
"Films la ellam?"
"Maavu pesairapo thaan romance laam panuvanga! Ana nee chips saptitu iruntha. Ennatha solla!"
"Ohhhhhh"
"Kalaika maaten nu sonna ma" he stomped his feet like a child
"Hmm hmm kalaikala" but she started laughing out loud!
"Maaa sirikatha ma"
"Ila...romance venum nu solreenga aana na kannathula kai vechathuke avlo blushings. Kashtam kashtam romba kashtam" she said and laughed again
He finally got out of the embarrassment and started to laugh with her
