“So, where’s the slutty bitch mother of yours?” Josh yelled straight into my face.

“Oh, wait, I forgot, she’s all dead!” He grinned and punched me into the wall again, with such force so my upper back became all numb.

“Cut it off Josh.” I muttered back. “You don’t know anything, so just shut it.”

He punched me again, and this time it wasn’t just to make me stay against the wall, that I could feel very clearly. This time it was more to make me remember my place, remember who the boss is, and of course in his world, there could only be him. When my back hit the wall with a much greater force than last time, the pain spread through my entire spine and the back of my head hit the wall, which caused my eyesight go all blurry. I felt his breath on my skin, his scent so close and then I heard a whisper, directly into my ear;

“What are you about to do then?” he almost hissed. “Send your little demon friends after me? Cut me with one of your razors you depressive piece of shit?” I could feel how he grinned at me; I could hear movements near us.

“Great” I thought, wishing nothing more than to just fade away and turn into air. No matter if I wanted to, that was not what I felt like.

People were gathered around us now, both friends of his side of the class and other people that I did and didn’t know. All gathered, just to see the fight between the king and the depressive one. My thoughts went directly to the frog we had to dssect in biology class last week. Exposed, innocent and no one really cared. “It’s for a good thing” they said. The exact same thing happened right now, but I was the frog.

“You are nothing” he woke me up from my thoughts again. I managed to realize where he was and pushed him away again. A mistake obviously, rule number one in the land of Josh: Don’t ever put your hands on Josh and always do as he says. Rule number two: don’t break rule number one. And of course, if you break the law, a punishment awaits.

 “Don’t you push me away you filthy little slut” he spat at me. “Look at me!”

I did my best to look up at him, not only because he was taller, but also because I would just like this punishment to be done. He looked at me, with such an internal flame in his eyes that made me feel like the worst person in the world. My body prepared for the worst, but he just stood there, to make the long wait become more painful obviously, it worked.

After what felt like an eternity, which in reality was just half a minute or so, my eye sight went black and I collapsed on the floor while the pain spread through my body. He had punched me right in my stomach, causing me to almost throw up. My head felt dizzy, my body was all in pain, and then a second shockwave of pain struck through my body. It was him, yet again. This time he kicked me on my side, just to mark that he is the boss, just so he could humiliate me, just to treat me like he thought I should be treated, like a rat. He kicked up some dust from the ground and made all of that stick to my face.

“There you go, don’t lie there crying you bitch!” I haven’t even realized that I was crying, but it must have done that for a while, or that’s at least what it feels like. I managed to open my eyes and saw a glimpse of a kick that was angled directly to my face before everything turned black. Everything that existed was the pain in my head, in my body, in my soul. How I could be treated like this, and yet be who I am. The voices of the other people faded and with a last shockwave of pain from my side.

I opened my eyes, with a shaking and sweating body I sat up in the dark.

“Relax, it’s not real. That was just a nightmare” I started to tell myself.

This was another one of the dreams I’ve had during the nights of the last couple of weeks, obviously caused by the fact that school was about to start. I glared out in the dark where the alarm clock on the bedside table gave a faded red glow to the room, offering me the opportunity to see the outlines of my furniture. The red digits on the alarm clock shined 3.23AM, and this day was the last day of the summer holiday, so I was told at least. I moved to the wall and lit the small lamp right next to the bed. My eyes focused at once on the figure that sat right by my feet and up looked at me.
