She woke up in pure darkness. No light switch, nothing. Violet was trapped.
To weak to get up, she observed the room for a exit. There was nothing but pure darkness. She felt as though this was a never ending cycle of terror.
Feeling her arms, she could feel a sense of grief and agony. Bruises and cuts coated both of them up towards her shoulders.
An oozing substance leaked from a fresh cut on her forearm and instantly Violet knew that it was blood.
Horrified, she felt numbness surge through her body as her skin began to grow pale by the second.
At the same time a wave of nauseous struck through her as her eye lids grew heavy with darkness enveloping her.
Waking up confused and perplexed she wondered what happened and where she was.
With nothing providing her with evidence, she lay there in a pile of tears that have formed with in seconds.
Violet was so agitated that she could not even bare the thought of being alone. Frequent thoughts whirled inside of her head.
Violet had nothing to do but lay there without any explanation of where she was and how she got there.
Only being 6 years old, she was limited in the things that she could do to help her. She had not even fully learnt to speak yet. She had no choice but to lay there and hope for the best.
Violet felt hopeless. She had no idea on what to do. Will she ever get back home? Will she ever see her mother and father again? Will anyone ever find her? Will she ever be let out?
All of a sudden, Violet heard a creaking sound. Frantically, she got up and peered around at her surroundings. She thought it's that she heard a door opening in the deep twilight of the surrounding territory.
The sharp sound of a chainsaw echoed throughout the room. It was as loud as a herd of elephants running away from a predator. Or that what Violet thought at least.
Shrieking with fear, Violet once again became teary. This resolved in the redness of her eyes. Violet backed up as far as she could. "How big is this place?" She asked herself in a way that sounded somewhat like a form of a whisper and a sob.
Eventually, she reached a wall. She leant on it hoping that the potential exterminator couldn't see her.
Violet's eyes puffed up so much, it was incredibly hard to see. She heard footsteps approaching closer and closer. Once again the roar of the chainsaw echoed the room.
Now Violet could see something. She could see the huge blade of the chainsaw glistening in the deep gloominess of the room. She thought to herself " how can I see the blade in the dark with no light or anything reflecting off of it?" She questioned herself in horror.
The anonymous figure abruptly raised the chainsaw above the head of the innocent mortal. She covered her head with her arms praying to god that she won't die.
With her head in her knees she quivered in fear as the thought of death overwhelmed her. Then eventually she passed out again.
"Violet." Called a soft voice. Violet felt a lot of shaking in her body that she was not doing to herself.
Sooner or later she realised that it was her beloved mother trying to wake her up, yet the feeling of hands on her body scared her a lot.
She got up as fast as she could and gasped for air. She was panting more then she had ever panted before.
Sweat dripped down her face as her eyes looked like they where about to pop out of her eye sockets.
The young girl looked around only to see her bright pink room illuminated with night lights and LEDs. The fuchsia coloured paint on the walls and many images made the room more welcoming.
