This is Inej's last few weeks in Ketterdam before she sets sail with her crew to hunt down slaves. One day, she forgets her jacket at Wylans estate before she goes out to gather information. Shivering, she sees Kaz from the rooftops. As always, he is always able to sense her presence and how she's feeling. He calls out, "Inej, I know you're cold. Come down here." Inej obliges and jumps down to meet Kaz.
"Here."
Kaz drapes his jacket around Inej's shoulders and allows her to lean into his shoulder, ensuring that none of their skin comes in contact with the other's. She savours and takes comfort in his warmth and smiles. This is her home.
