Darkness

Without it there would be no light
Man has always feared it
And embraced the light
It surrounds us, all encompassing
We invent to avoid it
Light bulbs, torches, fire
But none of them last forever
They will go out, end
And when they do it pours back
It has no emotion
Yet it causes so much
We cannot damage it, kill it
It is darkness and it is forever
