"They'd be lucky to have you."

"I'm sorry about...that...thing...with the Tesseract," actor-Loki continued to drone on, "I just couldn't help myself."

"I know."

"I'm a trickster."

"So mischievous," actor-Loki gave a sad laugh.

"Sorry about that time I turned you into a frog."

"It was a wonderful joke."

" 'Twas indeed hilarious," Odin chuckled form his position as he ate some sort of fruit.

"You are the savior of Asgard," real-Thor looked confused at Odin, as if something didn't add up.

"Tell my story," actor-Loki pleaded.

"I will."

"Build a statue for me," you snorted. That actually sounded like something Loki would say.

"We will build a big statue for you."

"With my helmet on, with the big bendy horns," actor-Loki gestured with his hands to show the horns.

"I will tell father what you did here today."

"I didn't do it for him," Odin whispered, as if to himself.

"I didn't do it for him," actor-Loki said, then proceeded to die.

The choir started vocalizing and actor-Thor cried out, "No!!"

"And so, Loki died of his wounds," a man on stage that seemed to be...maybe Odin? came forwards, "giving his life for ours. He fought back those disgusting elves. He brought peace to the realm." Thor looked around and scrunched his eyebrows, looking immensely confused.

"Loki, my boy," actor-Odin let out a hand as a small boy covered in blue paint made his way on stage.
The boy climbed on a rock and faced him, " 'Twas many moons ago I found you on that frostbitten battlefield. On that day, I did not yet see in you Asgard's savior. No. You were merely a little blue baby icicle," the boy fidgeted with his hands, clearly not sure what to do, "that melted this old fool's heart."

The crowd erupted in cheers and Odin stood up to clap, "Bravo! Bravo! Well done. Bravo!"

The actors all stood up to face the crowd and bowed. Thor turned to face Odin and gave him a nod, "Father."

Only then did Odin realize him, and almost spit out his drink, "Oh shit." Odin raised a hand and announced, "Uh, my son, Thor, has returned! Greetings my boy!" Thor got a half-hearted applause.

Thor walked forward as you stayed in the crowd, "It's an interesting play. What's it called?"

"The Tragedy of Loki of Asgard," Odin answered. "The people wanted to commemorate him."

"Ah, indeed they should. I like the statue," Thor said. "A lot better looking then he was when he was alive, though. A little less weaselly, less greasy, maybe."

Odin gave a fake laugh and frowned, "Do you know what this is?" Thor held up the skull that was previously attached to his back.

"The skull of Surtur, that's a formidable weapon!"

"Do me a favor. Lock this away in a vault so it doesn't turn into a giant monster and destroy the whole planet," Thor handed the skull to a guard who took it away.

"Thank you dear. Um.." Odin stood up as he handed a glass to a woman. "So it's uh back to Midgard for you, is it?"

"Nope," Thor threw the hammer up and caught it. "I've been having this reoccurring dream lately. Every night I see Asgard fall into ruins."

Odin walked closer to Thor, "That's just a silly dream. Signs of an overactive imagination."

"Possibly. But then I decide to go out there and investigate. And what do I find but the Nine Realms completely in chaos," Thor walked closer to Odin, threateningly. "Enemies of Asgard assembling, plotting our demise all while you, Odin, the protector of those Nine Realms are sitting here in your bathrobe, eating grapes."

Odin fidgeted with his fingers, "Yes it is best to respect our neighbors' freedom."

Thor gave a harsh laugh, "Yes, of course, the freedom to be massacred." Thor threw his hammer, stopping it just before it hit a guard, before calling it back.

You pushed around the crowd to get closer to Thor, "Yes, besides I've been rather busy myself."

"Watching theater."

"Well board meetings, and security council meetings-"

"You're really gonna make me do it?" Thor interrupted.

"Do what?"

Thor threw his hammer and went to stand behind Odin, holding him in place, "You know that nothing will stop Mjolnir as it returns to my hand. Not even your face."

You stepped out of the crowd so you were in front, "What the hell are you doing Thor?"

The hammer started it's way back to Thor's hand, "You've gone quite mad. You'll be executed for this."

"Then I'll see you on the other side, brother," Thor muttered as your eyes widened.

The hammer was inches away from Odin's face when he announced, "All right, I yield!" And stepped out of Thor's grip, turning into Loki. Thor pushed him away and caught his hammer.

You moved to stand next to Thor, and mumbled, "What the fuck Loki?" Loki gave you what seemed to be a real apologetic look, but you looked away.

Everyone gasps and Loki turns around with his hands up, giving a nervous laugh.

Skurge then pushed through the crowd to say, "Behold! Thor....Odinson."

Loki snapped his fingers and turned around to glare at him. "No. You had one job. Just the one!" He shook his finger.

Loki turned to Thor as Thor said, "Where's Odin?"

Loki let his hands flop to the side, "You just couldn't stay away could you? Everything was fine without you. Asgard was prospering," Loki walked closer to Thor. "You ruined everything. Ask them."

Thor charged at him, mad, "Where's father? Did you kill him?"

Loki started to back away, looking terrified—as he should be, "You had what you wanted! You had the independence you asked for."

Thor pushed his hammer against Loki's chest, pushing him into the couch, "Whoa, whoa, whoa!" Loki grunted in pain, "Okay. I know exactly where he is."

Thor let him go and Loki sat up with a relieved sigh. You walked over to him, and he gave you a smile, "Darling I-

You didn't let him finish before you slapped him in the face, "Asshole." You gave him a glare and turned to Thor, "Let's find your father."
