Chapter 10

"Those papers have all the information you will need, Y/n we have a meeting in about 10 minutes with an old friend." I'm confused, but I went along with what was needed. "We are heading out now, and Tubbo, Quakity is waiting for you at the podium." He looked at me, I nodded at him and he looked back at Schlatt. "Yes sir, I'll head there now." He turned around and walked out of the room, leaving me and Schlatt alone. He got up from his chair and walked around it. He stood in front of me and held out his hand. I took it and he helped me to my feet. He let go and started walking to the door. I followed not too far behind him.

"Schlatt, where are we going to meet this 'friend'?" He didn't look back at me, or answer me for that matter. "You'll see soon" Is that really all the context he will give me?! We started walking through the edges of the SMP in a forest. We had randomly stopped in the middle of nowhere. Great, just great. I heard some cracking of a twig, out of instinct I immediately got in front of Schlatt and got my bow and aimed it at where the noise came from. I saw a tall figure start to come into view. I aim my bow at the figure coming into view, but I immediately drop my bow from the figure and stare in disbelief. I stare at the pinkette in front of me. Techno?! What the hell is he doing here?!

"Ah, so you decided to show up." Schlatt walked out from behind me and walked towards Techno. I still don't understand, why the hell is he here?! He's supposed to be with Wilbur and Tommy and watching over them and helping them! "Yeah, what did you want Schlatt and..." Okay, now I'm assuming he finally realized it was me. Hopefully he can play this off, and hopefully I can as well. "Ah yes this is one of my secretaries of state, their name is Y/n." I walk beside Schlatt pretending I haven't met Techno. He raises his hand out for me to shake. "Nice to meet you, I'm Technoblade but you can call me Techno for short." I raise my hand and shake his hand trying not to seem suspicious.

"Pleasure to meet you as well." I let go of his hand and continued to stand beside Schlatt. "Anyways now that you two have introduced each other let's talk about what we came here to talk about." I put my bow back in my inventory and put the arrow I had drawn back into the quilt. "I wanted to personally invite you to the ball and the festival we would be holding." I was taken aback, what? Okay, that's really weird, this came out of the blue.

"Um, Schlatt sir I hate to interrupt but how did you know he had come to Manburg?" He just looked down at me with an unamused face. "I just saw him walking down the middle of Manburg looking completely lost." Once he turned back to Techno, I mentally facepalmed. You have got to be fucking kidding me. THIS IDIOT WALKED THROUGH HIS ENEMY'S TERRITORY, RIGHT OUT IN THE OPEN?! I gave him a look of how I was feeling and I knew he saw me because he seemed to be holding back a smile. That jerk!

"So? What do you say Techno, do you want to come?" Techno glanced at me, I just gave him a small nod hopefully small enough to where Schlatt wouldn't notice. He turned his gaze back to Schlatt and simply nodded. "Then we have a deal, nice seeing you and hope to see you again." He offered his hand to Techno to shake and Techno accepted. When their hand shake broke he lifted his hand to mine and I took his hand and shook it. In the hand shake he had passed me a note. When our handshake broke I had smoothly slipped the note in my pocket.

"We have more places to be, hope you enjoy your stay Techno." Schlatt turned around and started walking away. I sooned followed him, I glanced back to look at Techno who had let out a breath he had been holding in. We walked back into Manburg and walked to where Tubbo and Quakity were. They were at a makeshift table talking. I assumed it was them planning for both the festival and the ball.

"Hello boys, how's the planning going?" Both big Q and Tubbo look up to see me and Schlatt approaching them. They both stopped what they were doing and stood up to greet us. "Welcome back Schlatt, the planning is going just fine." He gave them a small smile till he turned to me.

"You are dismissed for the rest of the day so you can either stay here or go home." Without another word he walked away from me. Okay, that was rude but I wouldn't expect him to remember due to all that alcohol he had drank. I look over at the two boys and let out a sigh. I had remembered the note Techno had given me earlier.

"Excuse me boys, I will be taking my leave now. Tubbo come home whenever you are done, okay?" He nodded at me with a smile on his face and then turned to Big Q and continued to work. Once I got out of eye level to anyone around me, I pulled out the note in my pocket. It read...

                                            Dear Y/n,

We need your assistance at Pogtopia tonight and we would like you to bring Tubbo with you this time. We think you two could help us with gathering some supplies.

I read the note again and then lean against a nearby wall and slide down it. I pinch the bridge of my nose and I take deep breaths to try and calm myself down. I didn't want to bring Tubbo into all of this because I didn't want him to be put into danger.

I guess this really is turning into another war.
