Chapter 11.

They sat in the living room to eat their dinner since there was a roaring fire and a bright colourful Christmas tree.

They had Christmas Crackers and Exploding Snap.

Abraxas and Apollo pulled a cracker together and it made a giant pop which made Abraxas jump but then he stared in wonder as the Santa's flew around on brooms.

"Merry Christmas Braxas." Apollo whispered and he gave him a warm smile.

"Merry Christmas Destroyer."

"Okay Theseus game of chess me and you right here right now." Apollo challenged standing up.

"Game on." They sat down at the table both with a glass of wine in their hand and played.

"You cheated!" Theseus screeched. Apollo grinned and blew him a kiss.

"Pure talent Mr Lestrange."

"Dancing time." Orion whooped and ran over to the radio.

They're either too young or too old came on on the radio. Orion grasped Apollo's hand and spun him around the room while Abraxas and Theseus cheered from the couch. 

When a different song came on Theseus asked Orion to dance and Apollo asked Abraxas. 

They danced for hours before they collapsed on the couch together.

Apollo smiled at the other three who looked happier than he had ever seen them.

"Best Christmas ever!" Orion yelled.

"I second that." Theseus said while drinking straight out of the wine bottle.

"No argument over here." Apollo grinned.

"Best day ever." Abraxas beamed.

"Well we've got another week before school starts back and no house elves so we'll be cooking every night." Apollo smirked.

"Wicked." Orion breathed.

"I loved cooking today so it will probably be fun." Abraxas nodded.

"Even better!" Theseus punched the air.

"Well it's four o'clock in the morning, I think it's time for bed." Apollo announced getting up. "We're having pancakes for breakfast in the morning just telling you."

"I love this house." Orion murmured.

"Same here mate." Theseus whispered.

Apollo fell onto his bed fully dressed and curled up.

He woke up a few hours later and showered before leaving his room.

He crept downstairs and started pancakes.

Picking up the spatula and flipping the pancake he began to hum a song.

Theseus smirked from the door as he watched him dance around singing. He saw Abraxas coming down the stairs and put a finger to his lips. Abraxas looked at him confused before he heard singing then he smiled and walked slower. 

I, I, got a little paycheck

Honey I love you, that's all she wrote

Orion came downstairs and began silently dancing with Apollo.

Theseus did a silent count down from three seconds before they all jumped into the room and screamed the last verse with a terrified Apollo.

Apollo had a hand over his chest. "You bastards. Scared the fucking life out of me." 

"Language." Abraxas warned. 

"Sorry." 

"So what are we doing today?" Orion asked.

"I don't know, what do you want to do?" Apollo replied.

"I like the idea of just staying home and hanging out with each other." Abraxas put in quickly.

"I second Abraxas." Theseus added.

"Well then there's your answer Orion." Apollo shrugged as he bit into a pancake.

"Didn't you tell us you played instruments?" Orion asked.

"Yup. Piano, guitar, violin, flute and drums."

"Impressive, do you think you could play something for us?" Theseus questioned.

"I don't see anything wrong with that."

Orion pulled Apollo into the sitting room where he knew the piano was.

He pushed him down on the seat. Apollo lifted the lid and put a few notes in front of him. Orion recognised the notes and remembered his auntie singing it to him years ago.

He placed his fingers on the keys and began to play a mesmerising tune.

As Apollo played the tune Orion began softly murmuring the lyrics remembering them as he kept playing.

Some people long for a life that is simple and planned

Orion sang a bit louder now sure of the lyrics.

Theseus grabbed Abraxas's hand and began dancing with him as Orion sang and Apollo played.

Apollo softly sang the lyrics with Orion as his fingers glided across the keys.
