After a rather restless night of weird dreams turning into nightmares and waking up every couple of hours with hot sweats, I knew that I couldn't take much more of this back and forth with Tom. I needed to know what he really wanted from me and if this was real or not.

I woke up around 5am and couldn't get back to sleep so headed to the kitchen to make myself a tea and prep breakfast for the kids. It was supposed to be my day off today but I was up too early to start getting ready for a lunch out with Mum and Dad just yet.

I was sitting at the kitchen counter, sipping my tea and reading through the script I needed to learn for my audition the following week, when my phone lit up with Tom's name as a message came through.

Tom sent a photo

I raised an eyebrow and unlocked the phone to see what it was he had sent me

T: 5am. Can't sleep... thank you for a perfect birthday 🎂 x

I smiled softly at the photo and immediately set it as his contact picture on my phone

I smiled softly at the photo and immediately set it as his contact picture on my phone. It was adorable and so nice to see Tom in this light, relaxed and not the celebrity that everyone else saw. I decided that to make it fair, I'd send one back.

A: Can't sleep either... perfect time for learning lines on a Sunday morning. I'm glad you had a lovely day x

I went back to reading and sipping my tea when I heard Lilly come out of her room and head in my direction, she must have seen the kitchen light on and knew she wasn't the only one awake

"Morning Lilly, you ok?" I asked as she climbed up into my lap and snuggled in.

"I had a nightmare... you left us and didn't come back" she sniffled as I stroked her hair.

"Well that's never going to happen" I whispered and stroked her cheek. "I'll be here as long as you need me" I added and she smiled.

"Then you'll be here until I'm an old lady!" She smiled and I chuckled softly, kissing her forehead.
