"when we are young we're taught the difference between the hero and the villain. Good and evil. A savior and a lost cause. But what if the only difference is who's telling the story?"

Natasha's POV,

"Monster, monster" the words kept repeating as I sat in a cold dark room full of all the bodies of the people I've killed innocent and not innocent

"I'm not" I cried out with tears in my eyes

"Yes you are" another voice said as the other kept repeating monster

I cried letting all my tears fall next thing I knew I was in a hospital room. I looked at the hospital bed to see the tall, blonde, muscular, supersoldier. I learned to care about.

"Steve?" I muttered as I saw him unconscious on the hospital bed letting tears run down my cheeks

"It's all your fault" a voice said

"I-I wouldn't do this to h-i-m" I stutterd

"Yes you would, you've killed friends before, why not him" the voice asked

"B-be-because I love him" I replied almost in a whisper

"Tasha time to wake up" I heard Clint's voice outside my bedroom door

Waking me up from yet again another terrible nightmare.

"I'm up" I said as I got out of my bed and looked through my closet looking for something to wear

"Ready to go" he asked as I walked out of my room

I nodded and we went down to the kitchen

"Up so early" Tony asked with a cocked eyebrow

"Yeah, places to be" Clint replied nonchalantly

Tony smirked his eyebrow still cocked

I chuckled lightly

little do they know Clint's married and has three kids.

I heard the sound of a set of foot steps and turned to see Steve, he looked like he probably didn't sleep last night, his eyes had bags under them, his facial expression unreadable.

"Someone didn't get any sleep last night" Tony joked

"Haha" Steve replied mockingly "I needed to think" he stated

Tony cocked a eyebrow "about?"

"None of your business" he replied nonchalantly before he left the room, not acknowledging my presence

I sighed "let's go" I said to Clint

He nodded and we headed towards the car

"Something happen between you and Steve" he asked as we got into the car

I could never keep anything from him, he could always read me like a book.

I sighed in defeat "how do you do that" I asked

He chuckled "the same way you do...I guess" he replied with a shrug and a smirk

I chuckled lightly

"What happened" he asked curiously

He was the only person that knew of Steve and I's relationship.

"He knows" was all I said

He cocked a eyebrow "he knows what" he questioned

"Everything" I replied "on the mission, my father used Wanda, she showed him everything and showed me something's about his past too"

He sighed and shook his head "I'm sorry Tasha"

I shook my head "it's not your fault" I replied

"Natasha so good to see you" Laura greeted with a smile as I entered the house and she gave me a hug

"You too" I replied embracing the hug

"Aunty Nat" Lila shouted as she ran up to me and gave me a hug "I've missed you" she said with a smile

"I missed you too kid" I replied as I hugged her back

"When's dinner" Clint asked as he entered the house

I rolled my eyes playfully

'Clint and food' I thought to myself

I couldn't understand how one person could eat so much.

"It'll be ready in 10 minutes" Laura replied with a smile before pecking her husband's lips

He nodded and rubbed his belly "good cause I'm hungry"

I chuckled and shook my head at his actions

"So how are things with Steve" Laura asked with a smirk as we sat down on the porch swing watching the kids play after dinner

I sighed "I don't know"

She looked at me both concerned and confused

"He saw something, something I didn't want him to and now...I'm afraid he won't ever look at me the same" I said

She nodded "we all have our baggage it's what we do with it that matters" she said "and besides, if he can't forgive you for your past how will he forgive you in the future" she added with a shrug

I nodded

"We need to talk" Steve said with his arms crossed over his chest as he leaned against the wall, as I walked onto our floor

I sighed and nodded "when" I asked almost in a whisper

"Right now" he replied

I nodded

We walked into his room

"Look I'm sorry I didn't tell you everything, okay, I was just-" I started but he silenced me with his finger on my lips

"Nat" he took a deep breath and let it out before continuing "I didn't...I didn't know things were that bad, if I did..." He trailed off

"Hey" I said in a soft tone as I cupped his cheeks and lifted his face to look me in the eye, green meeting blue "it's not your fault, there was no way you could've known" I said softly

"I should have" he replied

I shook my head and placed a soft kiss on his cheek "I'm sorry"

"I'm the one who should be apologizing, I shouldn't have over reacted it's just that-" I silenced him with my lips landing on his

I knew that if I didn't shut him up he would continue to ramble.

"This mean you're okay...with who I am, who I was" I asked as I pulled away from the kiss

He nodded "who you were then isn't who you are now" he replied with a small smile

There was silence for a while our eyes met, blue meeting green then he kissed me slowly the kiss soon became passionate as he threw me on the bed and we were at it, for the first time ever Steve and I made love to one another.

"Good morning beautiful" Steve greeted as I woke up in his arms and he place a kiss on my forehead

"Good morning" I greeted back as I pecked his lips and cuddled into him my head laying on his chest

"We should probably get up before the team starts to question why your in here" he said as he got up from the bed, put his clothes on and left, leaving me with my thoughts

That was weird I thought he was the one who wanted this.
