Sorry, this chapter is really short and crappy, but I wanted to put in a scene where you meet everyone. The next one will be better, I promise! And I HATE TAYLOR SWIFT WITH A FIREY PASSION BURNING IN MY SOUL but the song works for the chapter and she was so much better when all she did was country. I'm gonna go feed my unicorn now.

I first met Louis in daycare. My dad got a job in Doncaster and we moved there from California in 1998. My first day started out pretty badly. I was teased, not because of my accent, but my lack thereof. I haven't said a single word since I was 2 years old.

For some reason, this girl, Helen, enjoyed poking me before and after an insult. Her favorite one was calling me a baby. "Are you a baby?" Poke. "Say something, you big baby!" Poke. "Do you even know how to talk?" Poke, poke, poke. I set her straight after a couple hours though. I smacked her hand away, and it sort of blew up into a fistfight that the teacher had to break up. I won by a landslide and no one messed with me again until lunchtime.

Someone sat next to me while I was eating. I didn't look up, even when he started talking. "What's your name?" he asked. I ignored him. "I'm Louis. Louis Tomlinson. Can I pleeeeeeaaaaaase know your name?"

I made the mistake of looking at him. Once I saw the puppy dog eyes he made, I couldn't resist. I grinned and nodded as I grabbed my crayons. I drew two thick blue lines and colored the inside carefully, never going outside the lines.

"Blue?" I shook my head. "Water?" Nope. "Ocean?" I started laughing silently. "Ooh!" He yelled. "Ooh, ooh, ooh! I got it! Is your name... River?" I nodded. My name is Evangelina River Garcia. Weird name, I know; my mom was kind of a hippie. "You really hate Helen, don't you?" Another nod. "Me, too. She won't leave me alone!" He groaned. "Do you wanna be my best friend? I don't have one yet, so I need one." I nodded. I was really starting to like this kid. "Great! You wanna come over to my house this weekend?" I shrugged. My daddy would have to say ok. "Could you tell me tomorrow?" I nodded. "Awesome!" And he proceeded to talk my ear of for the rest of the day.
