39 🌈 Caleb, The Shocked

Siguro dahil nagkaipon-ipon na lahat ng inis niya, frustration at selos– no, he thought. Hindi selos. That's laughable.

He'll show her what it's like to be toyed around. He never had a rough kiss before. Hell, he never had actually kissed people until Maria.

Ang nakakagulat pa, gumanti ito ng halik. She was aggressive too, like she'd done it before. It was the most intense kiss to date. He could feel her hot breath, the warm wet tongue and sweet aftertaste of milk and sugar in her mouth. He was sure.

Hindi rin imahinasyon ang namunuong init sa katawan niya. For some reason, he felt impatient. He wanted something, closer, deeper, something more.

Caleb couldn't keep up, or in honesty, he was afraid he couldn't contain himself anymore.

Siya na ang unang pumutol ng halik at lumayo. Pareho silang naghabol ng hininga.

He was mind blown, couldn't believe the wild beating of his heart and the heat all over him.

"Where... where the hell did you learn that?!"

"Learn what?" anito, pinahiran ang labi.

"T-T-The t-tongue! You were moving your tongue!"

"In America," anito, at nagtaas noo, "Kala mo! Ano, ha?!" anito para bang naghahamon ng suntukan.

Naisuklay niya ang daliri sa buhok, pinaalalang sa sariling nag-aaway sila.

"Did you kiss him too?" he asked, now his breathing was normal, but still with the erratic heartbeat. "That d*mn blue eyed Hokage, did you kiss him?!"

"Yes."

Caleb staggered, then Maria looked at her fingers, as if counting. Sumuko ito nang lumampas ang bilang sa daliri.

"Di ko na mabilang eh, dami," she said.

He felt punches in his gut, million times stronger than Maria gave. "What?"

"Nag kiss kami, di ko na mabilang..."

At inulit pa talaga nito.

And the heat climbed up to his eyes.

"S-Sabi mo ako lang?" wala sa loob niyang sinabi. "Sabi mo kahapon ako lang... ang... ang... walang iba–" He stopped, couldn't believe the words coming out of his mouth.

Maria was looking at him from fierce to an innocent, curious look. "Ikaw lang ang ano Mon-Mon?"

Then he gave up. Suddenly he felt helpless. He didn't know what to do.

In his mind, he was screaming a million 'Sh*t!'.

Hindi siya ganito. So, as the best possible way to organize himself, he decided to retreat.

He stormed out the room without the word, slammed the door shut. Ilang hakbang palang, tumigil siya, umikot pabalik para bulyawan itong uminom ng gamot. Inabot niya an seradura pero tumigil ulit.

"To hell with you," at tumalikod.

He went into his room and buried himself in his blanket, still in his school uniform.

Sa totoo lang, nagpapanic siya. Matapos ng matagal na panahon, mga taon na lumipas, ito ang unang pagkakataong nabaliw siya.

Caleb is not stupid, nor he is ignorant. Sa likod ng isip niya, nagsusumigaw ang sagot kung bakit ganoon ang inaasal niya. He tried to deny himself of the possible truth.

"F*ck... f*ck... f*ck..."

Of all the girls; beautiful, smart and refined, bakit si Maria pa? Paulit-ulit na tanong niya sa sarili.

"No... no... that's impossible," he muttered. "Mataas ang standards ko... no way..."

Hindi niya alam kung gaano siya katagal sa ganoong posisyon. Nauntag na lamang siya sa katok at tawag ni Maria. "Mon-Mon?" called the muffled voice from outside, small, sweet and cute.

Sweet and cute.

He thought her voice as sweet and cute.

"Fuuuuuuuuuuuuck!!!!" he screamed like a madman.

"Mon-mon...? Are you okay?"

"Go away!" sigaw niya. Of all people, she is the last person he wanted to see right now.

"Usap tayo please..."

"I don't want to see you!"

"Bakit?"

"Go away!"

"Bakit nga?"

He was going insane.

"Just stay out of my sight!"

"Okay..." ang sagot matapos ng ilang segundong katahimikan.

Then it was silence.

Ilang sandali pa, nang kumalma na, tuluyang bumangon si Caleb, nagbihis. Sunod-sunod ang ring ng kanyang cellphone pagkatapos. Hindi niya pinansin noong una, pero hindi tumigil. Finally, sinagot niya iyon, mula kay Matthew.

"Wh–"

[Kaloy!] sigaw nito, napalayo ang cellphone sa tenga niya.

"What?"

[Search mo sa internet ang Rainbow Industries, dali!]

He did, just after he cut the call without a word. For the next few minutes, he read the trending articles.

Ilang segundo siyang nakatingin sa screen, napamura.

Having the grasped of the situation, Caleb took a step, then two until he was running out of his room all to Maria's room. She wasn't there.

Tumakbo siya pababa tinawag ito. She didn't answer. Si Frederick ang nakasagot sa tanong niya.

"Sir, umalis po, sinundo ng tinawag niyang Master Hokage. Hindi sinabi kung saan pupunta."

Nagbitiw siya ng mas malutong na mura, na ikinagulat ng mayordomo.

"Ipapahanda ko po ba ang kotse? Baka mahabol pa."

"No need..." aniya at tumalikod. She tried talking to him but he sent her away. Imposible ring mahabol pa ito.

Umaga pa lang pero ang dami ng nangyari. Nahilot niya ang noo, hindi alam paano ibsan ang kakaibang sakit na sumusuntok sa dibdib niya.

Caleb looked at the screen of his phone, with Maria's father, William, on the front page, and read the title silently.
