Chapter 2.

I stared at my friend sitting across from me as he licked off all the icing from the oreo cookie he was eating. Astound at how fast he was working to get the chocolate cookie part clean and shove it in his mouth since he always loved it that way.

"Finn... man, can you seriously get any more gross while eating?" I chuckled, letting some hint of playfulness drip from my voice though I was half serious about that.

Finn gave me a glare and rolled his eyes at me as if all I was talking seemed to come in through one ear and leave through the other. Just for that I knew he was chewing loudly and with his mouth wide open on purpose to bug me.

He shook his head laughing after swallowing his food and taking a sip from his energy drink. "Damn, I wonder if there will ever come a day when you're not on my ass."

Standing up, he grabbed two cookies from the pack, shoving a full one in his mouth and throwing the other one at my face.

Finn wasn't much of an outgoing guy like the rest of my friends were, you could say he was indeed an introvert. In fact, that's how we had gotten along to begin with.He spoke his mind though, that's for sure. He wasn't an open person or a book you could just flip the pages to read or skim through. Finn was a hard to get type of guy, who wouldn't open up to anyone for shit. So whenever he was upfront with things, you automatically knew it was the real deal.

I admired that a lot, he was someone I knew for so long. And that one person I was most close with. The rest of the guys and our one girl roommate were also some of my closest friends, but not like how Finn was. That friendship was unique, and I'm talking about the type where you just have to tell whatever the hell happens to you to your best friend because just otherwise, it would feel different. He was like a brother to me.

"You need to chill," he said swallowing what was in his mouth. "What's crawled up your ass anyways? Percy told me earlier you were ignoring his calls. Did something happen that was so world ending you couldn't answer a simple call?"

Percy was also one of our roommates. The apartment we lived in wasn't in the best shape as in other luxurious apartments in New York are. In fact, it was in one of the smallest to come across, compared to those that practically look like a mini-house anyway. Perhaps when you have that many people living with you, it tends to feel that way.

There were only three rooms and four of us, and unfortunately for Percy, our other roommate, he had lost a sick game of rock and paper, with myself winning the room. He bunks in the living room, that's even if he decides to come home for the night. And as for our final roommate which happens to be the only girl, Maxine, if it wasn't obvious enough she needed her solo room.

"Are you gonna ignore me you little shit?" chuckling Finn swiftly decides to mess up my hair knowing I hated that. "Huh? huh?" he repeated in the process before stopping and walking over to fridge for a beer.

"I was busy, that's why I couldn't answer." I had replied "And one call was enough but he went on pulling a Kate." I rolled my eyes.

"A Kate? questioned Finn in total confusion.

"Yes, a Kate. Remember that crazy chick who wouldn't leave me alone for dear god, I ended up making out with her sister and the bitch still couldn't get the hint."

Finn for a quick second almost spit out the beer he had been drinking from his mouth. Holding back his laughter and definitely remembering Kate pretty clear now.

It was soon ready to get dark out so I decided to check my phone for any more missed calls besides Percy, once there wasn't, I shortly after turned it completely off.
