I have to say, not a bad oneshot at all. Like most oneshots/short stories, it's rather fast paced, but that is completely fine. However, I suggest revising over it and adding in some smoother transitions form scene to scene.
So far, the writing style in this narrative is a great basis for any inspiring author- it's flowing, yet detailed; and the grammar is quite decent.
To wrap it up; this is a great li'l narrative, and for once it's that of a popular ship in which the characters are not OOC. I see that way too often nowadays- even though AmeriEng/EngAmeri is something I'm not a fan of personally, again, this was awesome!
I give this story a rating of 7/10. Mechanics could be better, and the plotline was a little cliche. But hey, this is just an opinion coming from someone who prefers great mechanics and originality above all. As I've said many times; this isn't bad. It's awesome. Narratives can always use a little bit of tweeking here and there-
