LANA HAD FELT SELFISH all her life. She grew up loved, well fed, with an excellent education, and surrounded by a family so accepting and beautifully unique. Not to mention, she grew up on a literal time machine which meant she got to see places, time periods, and historical events that people read about in textbooks. But despite this, she couldn't help but feel like she was missing something.
She was selfish.
There was no doubt about it. Lana loved her mother, Evelyn, and the rest of the legends dearly. They shaped her into the young lady she is today and they will continue to be her guiding posts as she navigates her future and her empathetic abilities she inherited from her mother. Evelyn and the others made sure she would grow up happy and nurtured. They fought their hardest to fill the void Leonard Snart had left due to his heroic sacrifice.
Mick Rory more than the others felt obligated to be the best father figure he could be for his best friends little girl. So naturally, when Lana wandered into the Waverider kitchen and confided in him on her quick and easy—but Ava Sharpe would deem irresponsible and catastrophic—trip back to the past, he was completely on board. Granted, she promised it would be a quick pop in and that she would under no circumstance reveal her true identity. She just wanted a chance to meet him and actually speak to him since he died months before she was born. But her quick pop in quickly turned south, leaving Lana trapped in the familiar halls of the place she calls home with her loving family who don't know her yet, and to make matters worse—they don't trust her.
Lana is now left with two difficult tasks. First, she has to try and find a way back to the future without the team running into their future selves, or causing a disruption to the timeline. Second, she has to fight back the part of her that wants to tell her father who she is and above all—about his forthcoming death.
