Steve Smith was a gentle soul,
He brought us joy; made us whole.
Tears rolled freely down my face,
But now he's in a better place.
Suddenly he whispered near,
So quietly and yet so clear:
Have no worries. Have no fears.
Do not be sad. Please dry your tears.
I'm at home with God above,
And I'm surrounded by His love.
Mom and pop, they welcomed me,
And all those souls I've longed to see.
Be at peace. Release your care.
Say my name and I'll be there.
Know that we'll not be apart.
My memory lives within your heart.
