The biggest star on the planet is about to set in this place. The clouds are turning gray from orange, making the site more thrilling and suspenseful. Chirping sounds are starting to fade as the crickets make noise in the cold post-evening, only heard in the quiet island under the beautiful clear skies.
"Welcome to the Games of Survival," a metallic voice announced from the speaker. A ten-meter LED screen appeared above the sky, showing all the game player's profiles. Confusion and amazement were written on all the players' faces while their heads were up high to look at the giant screen.
While the players are busy and focused on the screen, a man wearing a gold mask is grinning widely on the tower's highest floor. Many scenarios are circling in his head, wanting all the players to kill each other and test their bond and so-called friendship. But he doesn't know that the players aren't a bunch of friends. They are, in fact, a group of rebels and troublemakers.
"This year's game is interesting, huh. I sense strong personalities and fierce auras," the man said in a monotone voice, then sipped in his glass of wine.
"They are troublesome. And I am sure you would enjoy watching them." A man wearing a silver mask entered the room.
The gold-masked man didn't bother to look who entered the room. "I don't know where did you get them. They don't seem close to each other," he replied the silver-masked man.
"You will know later." A smirk formed on his lips. "By the way, how much would be the cash prize this time? I heard that we sold many weapons in the U.S black market."
The gold-masked man stood up from the couch and finally faced the silver-masked man. "100 Million Pesos," he answered.
"What? Per team? Sobrang baba naman ata no'n."
"It's per member of the team." The gold-masked man turned around and looked at the players again. "And they wouldn't know the prize not until they win."
Ibinaba niya ang kanyang alak at isang nakaloloking ngiti ang sumilay sa kanyang labi.
Nagsimula na ang game.
"Team Libra's Guard is eliminated. Alexis Boron, eliminated."
