HOPE - less by day

i'm pretty sure you are not for me,
i'm pretty sure we weren't meant to be;

i knew from the beginning
that i won't be the one,
you moved on really quickly
when i'm still hanging on.

you are, you are one of a kind,
maybe i could change your mind;
i want to get things right,
but should i bother to even try?

fake scenarios in my head,
by now our past is long dead;
i never thought this through,
all i can think about is you.
