Sam was a factor that you had to deal with since you were already warming up to Bucky. It wasn't like you did not like him, he was fine. It would just take a little longer with him--as for the rest of the team. Bruce kept mostly to himself, he was mostly quiet, and pitched into conversation here and there. Clint drifted between everyone. Steve seemed to check in with everyone at some point. Thor was loud, so everyone heard was he was talking about with who he was talking to. Tony was talking to just about everyone at one time, eventually bringing the conversation together into one big mass. Wanda, her eyes kept trailing over to you, but she tried to keep her focus on whoever she'd been talking with at whatever time. She was afraid she had already done something wrong and wanted to make up for it. She didn't need enemies within the Tower.

After dinner came a movie in the living room. It was light-hearted and fun, and you enjoyed yourself more than you thought you would. Bucky and Natasha were quickly becoming close friends, and you were glad you already had one of those in this new environment.

When you retreated back into your room, you read a little and did your best to sleep. Not that you would get much. It would be a long time before you would finally be able to get a good night's sleep.

Your life in the Tower was becoming easier to adjust to than you thought it would. Everyone was more than welcoming. You expected Tony to be constantly over you about something, but he was quite respectful of your space and just made polite chatter here and there to help you adjust to him. He said he knew how annoying he could be, and he wants to help you settle in. He had apparently started working on a few projects around you for your powers and the like for missions and everyday things. Steve was the one who was a little overbearing sometimes with his constant questioning of your well-being, trying to make sure you are doing okay. Natasha and Bucky helped more than once with that.

But Wanda was still itching to know why you did not like her. She had not done anything yet! She walked up to you and said hi, and you had just decided you didn't like her.

It was beginning to bug her--not that she cared if you liked her. It was more as to why, and out of nowhere. She wanted to know why you had chosen not to give her a chance.

There were a couple of times where you would wake up from a nightmare, your room's temperature would be dropped more than usual and frost would prick at the windows in the middle of summer. Wanda, her room being closer to you, would come over to check on you. You would give an answer that out both of you on edge and she would leave you alone to deal with your own problem, sending Natasha in instead of herself.

At some point, it became a habit to just alert Natasha when you were having trouble sleeping, and she would deal with it instead. Wanda was beginning to give up on trying to be on good terms with you at all. How could she try to mend anything with someone who wouldn't even talk to her?

She didn't even know how to mend it. What was there to fix?

There was one night where Natasha was gone on a mission, so it was just you and Wanda on your floor of the Tower. She was reading in her room really late that night when she heard sounds coming from your room, the same sounds she heard whenever you were having a nightmare. She tried to just ignore it, but the sounds were getting louder and she found it harder and harder to turn the other way.

When she finally had enough, she made her way to your room. She knocked on the door a couple of times, but there was no answer; although, the sounds continued to fill the room. She pushed the door open gently, making her way over to you with gentle steps. She shivered at the dropping temperature of the room, her hands wrapping around her arms as she tried to warm herself, her breath visible in the air with every exhale. There was frost at your windows and the hardwood floors were a laced with it, as well.
