The Last Time

Chapter 2

BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP, I heard sounding from my annoying alarm clock. I reached over to my bedside table and swung my arm around desperately looking for the snooze button on this darn device. Crash! I heard. I soon opened my eyes and looked down to the floor. Well, it looks like I am going to need to buy a new alarm clock.

I swung the sheets off of my tired body and a chill ran down my body. Laying back down in bed would be so much sweeter than acually getting up and doing something for once, but unfortunately, I had made plans for today.

Laying on the floor was my broken alarm clock that I managed to not trip over, somehow, as my eyesight was still groggy because of me just waking up.

My bathroom light switched on automatically, as set, once I stepped into there. I stripped off all of my clothes and started the water to the shower. Once it had warmed up, I stepped in and let the heat take over my body.

I had a gig today at a local diner that is close to my house in Bradford. I have loved singing since I was five years old, though I am not sure if my singing will be able to take me anywhere in life. I occasionally do performances like this in small places where I am requested.

I shampooed and conditioned my hair with my favorite "Polar Peppermint" soap. I washed my body and shaved my legs. After stalling this moment for a few more minutes by standing in the warm water, i finally turned it off and opened the shower curtain. I was freezing so I hurrily grabbed a large, fluffy towel from the cabinet and wrapped it around my body. I rung out my thin blonde hair in the shower once again and dried it with a towel.

I stepped into my room and I was finally adjusting to the temperture of the air around me.

I finished drying off my body in my room and went to go choose the clothes that I was going to wear to the performance at the diner today.

I picked out a black lace pair of panties and a purple and black polka dotted bra and put them on me. After lots of thinking and making decisions, I finallly picked a sparkley, aqua blue, strapless, mid-thigh cut dress with rhinestones on the sides, a pair of silver strappy high heels, and I added a black ring with diamonds on it.

I took my hair out of the towel it was wrapped In and I blowdryed it dry and put it halfway up, and halfway down with a black bow in it.

I curled all of my hair, but kept the top part of it gathered together with a bobby pin in the back so that my bangs would be out of my eyes. I hated it when there was a singer on stage that I was watching and they had their hair all in their face to where you couldnt see their face.

After an hour and a half of curling my hair I was finally finished!

I looked at the clock, "Crap! I'm going to be late." It was already 6:42 and I needed to be there a 7:00.

I grabbed my makeup bag from off of the counter and hurried taking all of the things that I would need to do my makeup out of it.

First I put on a base that matched my skin very well but it made me look a little tanner than my face actually is, but it is almost my skin color. Next, I applied some black eyeliner to the top of my eye only and I made sure to do it thin. Finally, I put on some light blue eyeshadow and hurried finish up my mascara so that I would not be late to the diner to play today.

I jumped in a cab on the street and told him the name of the resturant.

"Why dont you look awful pretty to be on your way to go eat just by yourself." he started flirting with me.

"Actually, i'm performing there tonight."I said not paying much attention to the man who looked to be several years older than me. He almost looked like he could be almost as old as my father!
