Chapter 24

"Mom." Corey asks that night as I lay with all the kids on the chairs in the music room as we watch a movie. Coltons going to get snacks and the other kids are fighting over what movie to watch. "Whats up kiddo?" I ask holding my arm out so that he can lay with me. "How old were you when you had your first kiss?" He asks. "I don't even remember. Middle school..." I say looking at him. "Why? Did you have your first kiss?" I ask kind of shocked that my son got his first kiss younger than I did. He shrugs. "With who?" I ask. "Tori." He says. "Seriously?" I ask all excited. "Your not mad?" "Well I mean I think your young but your only a year younger than when I had my first kiss." I say. I'd probably be more pissed if he was older but their ten years old. They don't know what all that shit means. Colton comes in and we drop the subject. He'd be the one to get all pissed about it. The kids fight over who gets to sit next to me. The twins sit with Colton since I saw then over the month I was gone. CJ sits on my lap, Corey on one side and Kenzie on the other as we watch a movie "Charmed" that I did after the twins were born. By the end of the movie everyone's passed out. I have colton take Corey and Kenzie up while I get the three little ones. I take each one up and spend about ten minutes with each one tucking them in and singing to them which I missed doing the past few weeks. I go in with Kenzie and Corey too before going downstairs with Colton. He's washing the kids cups from tonight. "Come here." He says. I walk over and he picks me up and sits me on the counter. "You alright?" He asks. I smile. "Couldn't be better." I say as he stands between my legs, my hands stroking his stubble on his chin from not shaving. "What's with the look in your eyes." He asks. "What do you mean?" I ask. "You look upset." "No I'm fine." I say. "Demi... Communication is key... Talk to me." I sigh. "I feel better... I really do but theres one thing that rehab isn't gonna fix..." I say. "I tried to kill myself with my two year old twins home alone." I say starting to cry. "Listen to me." He says as I lay my head on his shoulder and let the tears flow. "Its alright... You did the right thing. You called someone and you got help. Nobody can be mad at you for that okay?" He says clearing off my tear stained cheek. "I just can't stop thinking about what would of happened if I hadn't called somebody.. What would of happened to them..." "You can't think like that.." He says.. I look at him and stare right into his eyes. "I can't tell you how much I fucking love you." He says causing a giggle to escape my mouth. "You are so god damn beautiful and it kills me that you don't see what I seebut I promise I'm gonna treat you like the princess you are... Cause that's exactly what you deserve for not only being an incredible wife, but a strong beautiful, talented, courageous person... And an amazing mother." He adds. I smile and take the back of his neck slowly pulling him towards me as our lips meet. It gets heated as he throws my shirt off and across the room. Then his phone starts ringing. "Fucking kidding me." He says. I laugh. "Answer it." He groans and answers. "Hello... Can it wait till tomorrow... Okay... Alright, no its fine I'm on my way." He hangs up and looks at me. Then I hear Kenzie upstairs. "Go... I'll see you later." I say. I give him a kiss and he leaves. I get my shirt back on and go upstairs with Kenzie.

Colton POV

I get to the office and its only the captain there. "So what was so important... You know Demi just came home?" I ask. "I know and I'm sorry but this is important." He says. We go in and he puts a bunch of words up on the screen. "We have letters I, C, E, G, A, and R." He says. He shows me all the combinations of the words but there's only one that catches my attention, "Gracie"...
