She watched the clock go by waiting for lunch to come around. She started to slowly clear her desk knowing it would ring any minute.

'Dingggg' lunch bell

'Right on time' She thought while getting ready to leave to meet up with Amao.

As the bell rang signaling it was time for lunch, a (h/c) girl in particular had a huge smile placed on her face as she was getting ready to take off. However next to her was a boy giving off an enormous aura ready to interrogate the said girl. He stepped in front of her desk waiting for her to notice his presence in front of her. Y/n however took her sweet time before realising Ayato was in front of her desk.

[Y/n's pov]

When the bell rang I quickly organised my things so I could go meet up with Amao. I was so in thought I didn't even realise Ayato was standing in front of my desk till I looked up, causing me to jump a little.

"Eeek! Ayato, don't scare me like that!" I sighed out while calming my heart with one hand.

"Ah...sorry." was the only thing he said back.

He was going to speak again but I cut him off.

"Sorry Ayato, I won't be able to eat lunch with you today." I yelled politely before storming off and leaving the yandere behind.

'Hah' I sighed again. I knew what he was going to ask me and if I stayed around him any longer I would've ended up having lunch with him instead. And that's a big no-no if I want to distance myself.

"BOOM!"

'Awch!' I fell backwards. Seriously what is this bump into people day! (note the sarcasm). I rubbed my back to ease the pain even if it's just a little. Then a hand reached in front of me.

"Need help miss L/n" ___ said.

I recognize that voice. I looked up and saw it was the student console president, Megamo Saikou. I gladly took his offered hand and stood back on my feet.

"Um..thank you Sir Megamo."

"Please, Saikou is fine, and not a problem. Next time watch where you are going," he said as he stared at me intensely. The air between us felt tense and uncomfortable, at least for me. It stopped when he began to speak again.

"Are you not with sir Aishi today?"

You know what scratch that, it just made it a lot more uncomfortable. Like why would you ask that out of thousands of other questions! We aren't even close enough to consider you a friend. It's not like I can tell him 'oh i'm just making space between me and Ayato so he can properly stalk his senpai so that i don't have to see her falling in love with him back because I have been secretly in love with Ayato for years and he doesn't even see me that way, or anyway for that matter!' yepp... no way I can say that....

"HAHAHAH NO I'm not! It's not like I have to be with him all the time, I got other friends ya know!" I said forced laughing like it was the funniest thing ever while he just stared at me intensely. Gosh why did i have to say it like that and he might know that I don't have any other friends other than Ayato. 'Sweatdrop'.

"...that's true. You aren't obligated to be with him all the time. As the student council president I am glad you are making other friends."

"Um well.. I got to go meet up with him now. So bye?" I said awkwardly before handing off. 'He knew already (⌯˃̶᷄ ﹏ ˂̶᷄⌯)'

"Wait! Ahem, what I mean to say is allow me to walk with you to where you're headed."

"Um ok sure?"

And so that's how we started this wonderful walk together on the way to the cooking club! *note my sarcasm* The whole wake was pretty quiet but I got comfortable with it and oddly enough I didn't mind his company. Along our way I would see him occasionally glancing at me and immediately looking away from the corner of my eyes, which made me wonder if he wanted to ask me someone. I assumed he would ask right away but to my surprise he kept quiet so I took the initiative.

"Is there something you wanna say to me, Saikou?" I say which makes him visibly tense up.

"Y-yes. There is actually. I have been wondering if you are free tomorrow during lunch break. I would like to discuss with you about joining a club."

OMG! Saikou just STUDERED! That was so CUTE kyyaaa!! I thought to myself.

"Sure I got nothing at that time! Plus it would be great since I haven't really putten much thought into joining a club. So I would love to! – Ah! It seems we are already here, thank you for walking with me, Saikou, it was quite enjoyable!"

"Yes, I also enjoyed walking with you. Well then I shall let you be and see you tomorrow."

And with that Saikou left as I gave him a slight wave as a goodbye then turned around and entered the cooking club room. Walking in I was welcomed by the sweet smell of some sort of cake baking. 'Yum' internally wiping my droule. I walked farder in where the kitchen is and saw Amao. I was going to say hi but then I saw him and he was wearing an adorable pink apron! He looked so adorable wearing that while he was so focused on decorating a cake. Since he's not noticing me yet, I'm gonna take this opportunity. I took out my phone and opened the camera and started a whole paparazzi. I mean how can I not when he's just so adorable! A couple of pictures in he noticed me taking photos of him and blushed, hardly dropping the tool he was using for decorating the cake which made some icing slapter everywhere making a mess.

"A-ah! Y/n! W-what are you doing!"

"Me? Just taking photos of a cute little hamster." I teased him as I neared the counter as he blushed a little more.

I kneeled down near the counter to pick up the fallen utensils he used and helped clean up the little mess from the icing. Amao snapped out of his blushing mess and helped clean it up too. We finished and wiped our hands in the sink, after finishing we finally had a proper look at each other in which I couldn't help but burst out in laughter and him looking at me confused. He had icing smeared on his face. So like any sensible person would do, I licked it off.

'Mhh! That's actually good!' I thought, licking my lips.

I looked back up to see Amao had completely stopped working. Gosh it's so fun to tease him that I just can't help it! But then I smelled something burning.

"My my~ Little hamster have you forgotten about the cake in the oven~"

"Huh? Ah! Omg y-yes! The cake!" he said, snapping out of his trance and rising over to the oven to get the slightly burning cake out.

After that we spent the whole time talking and having fun till lunch was over. I couldn't help but feel like flirting with him once in a while just to see his cute reactions. I waved goodbye to him as we parted ways to get back to class. I had so much fun that the smile never left my face and I knew it. Maybe if I keep hanging out with him I'll be able to get over Ayato. Well it doesn't matter anymore, I'm glad I made a great friend today.

[Amao's pov]

After my run in with Y/n I couldn't keep her out of my mind. The whole time till lunch my mind was clouded with thoughts of only Y/n and that angelic smile of hers. When the lunch bell rang I quickly went to the cooking club and wanted to make her a little cake.

A couple minutes passed and I was debating if I should make another cake while I waited for her, so I did and put it into the oven while I started to decorate the other finished one. While concentrating on decorating the cake for Y/n I hear a few sounds of a camera clicking? Thus, I looked at where the sound was coming from only to find Y/n taking pictures of me. Surprised, I dropped my icing tools and made a mess.

"A-ah! Y/n! W-what are you doing!" I stuttered while blushing.

"Me? Just taking photos of a cute little hamster." She said, which made me blush harder as she walked closer to me and started to clean up the mess. I snapped out of it and helped out too.
