"No, because I don't want her thinking that you hated our family, too" He said with anger as I gave him a confused look. "Did you tell your parents?" He retorted as I gulped at him. My silence was his answer as he continued cutting. The sound of the knife meeting the board being a little aggressive.

He is a fucking asshole.

"Your carrots look a little uneven." I said making him roll his eyes at me.

I walked into the front room and sat on the sofa. I was upset being here. Upset that I wanted to be here. My phone vibrated making me pull it out of my pocket.

Need a copy of everything from a folder named Rings from his laptop. Use the USB in your bag- Z

Well I guess that is my first assignment. I searched my bag for the USB  and walked upstairs to the bathroom. There was a connecting door leading to Theo's bedroom and I softly opened the door to enter. I needed to be careful since everything was neat and organized.

Tiptoeing to the laptop, I opened it and logged in. I prayed that his password was the same from what I remembered.

I did a victory smile when I entered his password. I used the USB and dragged the folder into my USB. My heart was rapidly beating as loading took forever. Why are there over 1,000 files in this folder. The door suddenly opened to a squealing Ava running up to me making me yelp.

"LIA! LIA" She sang.

The transfer was complete and I quickly logged out making sure to put everything back in place.

"How come you are here? "Ava whined as I laughed pinching her cheek. Great thing she is only four.

"it's a secret and pinky promise we do not tell Theo." I whispered putting my pinky out.

"Okay." She nodded her head smiling and curved her pinky against mine. I put the UBS in my pocket. We walked downstairs together

Theo's little brother, Dan, quietly gives me a hug as I ruffled up his hair. He was always so polite and shy. Blair walks through the door texting and drops it right away.

"AHHH Bitch you're here" Blair screamed running to hug me. She almost knocked me over on the ground making the both of us hysterically laugh.

"Language" Theodore and his dad both said at the same time.

Blair was younger than Theo and I by two years. She used to borrow my clothes and ask me for boy advice. Soon, she will be going to CaraMicheal University in the spring.

Dinner was great as Theo's siblings were all talking about their day. I haven't had home cooked food in a while and this food was delicious.

"So, how are your parents doing?" Daniel, Theo's dad, asked making me look up in his direction. I felt Theodore's gaze reach mine making me stop chewing for a second. His chocolate brown eyes were filled with warmth and concern making my breathing unsteady.

"Well" I coughed grabbing my glass of water creating a distraction to think. "They are always busy working. I barely see them nowadays. It feels like I live by myself." I said forcing out a laugh to cover up my stupid joke. There were silence rising to my answer and I shifted in my seat hoping it would cut the tension.

Theo laughed with me making our eyes connect back together. It made me grateful that he put up with my stupid joke so I can hide the real answer.

After dinner, Theo's parents called it an early night as they have to travel in the morning. I was helping Theodore with clearing the table and dishes while his siblings went to their rooms to start homework. I am surprised he didn't push me out the door the first chance he got. Theo started to wash the dishes and l dried them. We were both looking out the window and I knew we were thinking of the same thing.

"You know I don't hate your family." I said with a soft tone.

"Well, you hate me so that means you hate them" He said staring me down. It was so intense I did not hear the water from the pipes or the smell of soap anymore. Just him consuming my whole brain.

I placed my hand slowly on his shoulder to let him move back to his side. I grabbed the sponge out of his hand and helped him finish up. I grabbed my bag and coat ready to leave. I was going to spend the night at my house and then take an uber back to Campus.

"I can drive you." He said but I shook my head. I needed the space away from him to recollect my thoughts.

"No, I can manage on my own. It is only a five minute walk." I said softly.

"Here, bring this for your parents." Theodore said giving me two plates of food wrapped in foil. I gave him a grateful smile ready to walk but I turned around when he called my name.

"Thanks for today." He said softly.
