"What's it?" Mark asked Maya who was looking outside as they drive.

"Nothing." She replied.

"Are you sure." He asked again.

"Yeah." She replied coldly.

"I'm sorry for trying to disrupt your outing."

"No, it's fine after all, he's also your friends."

"I wouldn't classify him as my friend but if you're interested to know our relationship you should ask him."

"Okay."

"What would you like to eat?"

"Anything is fine."
The atmosphere was quiet Mark wasn't liking it.

"Come on babe, could you please stop giving me this cold and short reply, say something else and keep the conversation going."

"But I don't have anything else to say, can you order for an takeout. I'm tired I want to go home."

"Sure."

"Sweetie you know I was wondering how your relationship with Jake is?" Lucas asked as he entered Gina's room with a plate of oatmeal.

"We're friends and I see him as a brother too, why do you ask?"

"The cold glare he shot at me in the kitchen almost made me choke."

"Are you serious, I mean what does he have against you"

"I think it's because I stole his crush heart."

"You stole his crush heart? Who's his crush?"

"It's you of course."

"Me? Impossible." She concludes with a laugh as she shake her head in disagreement.

"You think I'm joking, for the few hours I've been here I can tell that kid likes you not just as a friend and brother but more than that."

"Lucas this is so ridiculous, Jake my little brother, likes me?" She giggles and face her laptop.

"It's fine if you don't believe it but there's something I have to still need to tell you. Don't look at him like a little kid cause he's not anymore. He's turning into a man and you should limit your physical contact with him."

"This is still absurd but anyways I'll listen to you." Gina replied, still wondering.

"How about we go buy a house tomorrow if you're not busy."

"Alright...." Gina replied.

They both fidget at the sound of a jar been broken.
Lucas rushed to front of the Gina's room door and found Jake trying to pick up the piece of the broken jar.

"Is everything alright?" Gina asked.

"Um.... Yeah it's nothing to worry, go on with your stuff." Lucas told Gina and closed the door behind him.

"So what's your plan, do you intend to secretly follow us when we're are going to buy a house?" Lucas asked.

"What are you talking about?" Jake pretend not knowing what Lucas was talking about.

"You've been eavesdropping on Gina and I conversation, haven't you?"

"I don't know what you're saying and I didn't eavesdrop on anyone conversation." He answered and mistakenly cut his finger as he hurriedly pick up the broken jar.

"I'll get you a band-aid." Lucas said and came back with a band-aid which he placed on Jake's finger.

"Thanks." Jake murmured.
