"W-When I was at home and couldn't sleep, m-mama would read me a story or something..." Gillion strained to hear what Ollie was saying but nodded understandingly as he caught onto what Ollie had meant.

"Well, unfortunately, Chip is the best storyteller I know, so-" As Gillion said this, he saw as Ollie's head shot up to meet his eyes, his own shining before he turned and poked at the still sleeping Chip. Gillion fought back a small snicker, crossing his arms and watching fondly.

"Psst! Psst, Chip! Chip wake up! ...Chip?" As Ollie continued to poke at the brunette, his prodding got slower and slower, his brows furrowing as Chip continued to snore. He stood quietly for a few seconds before turning to look to Gillion, a small nod being his reassurance before he looked back to the sleeping pirate.

...

"Chip!" Ollie shook Chip by his shoulder as he let out an impatient huff. Chip wobbled in his hammock, panicked looking around while trying not to fall out of the cloth. Gillion pulled Ollie back a few steps to avoid being hit by Chip's flailing arms. The two watched as Chip got his bearings, keeping his balance as he slowly got up and he sat facing both Gillion and Ollie, the triton stifling his amusement as Ollie stood more awkwardly, fidgeting and shuffling as he glanced up, letting out a small shy chuckle. "U-Uh... Good morning Chip..! I" Chip's once tired and confused look fell instantly, a single brow-raising unamusedly.

"What the fuck. Gillion, what're you grinning about, huh?" Gillion cleared his throat and sniffled, trying to hide a soft chuckle.

"Ah, nothing, nothing at all dear Chip! Ollie wanted to... ask you something?" As Gillion suggested this, he nudged Ollie forward a bit, smiling.

Ollie looked over towards Chip, his awkwardness still present as he cleared his throat as well. "H-hah, uh... well uh- y'know when you said I could... wake you up if I couldn't sleep..? I-I... well I mean I  couldn't so... I went to wake you up! B-But then Mr Gillion got woken up which- Sorry about that, by the way- a-and then he mentioned that you can tell really good stories! A-And when I couldn't sleep, my mama would tell me stories until I fell asleep so I just... y-y'know..." Ollie started to trail off, his bashfulness getting the better of him. He felt himself relax a bit when he felt a hand rest on his shoulder, looking up he met eyes with Chip.

"Hey, no need to get all embarrassed, kid. Don't you know I'm the best damn storyteller on the Millenium Chipper?! I-"

"Albatross-"

"LIKE I WAS SAYING- Yeah, sure. I can tell you a few of our adventures! And since I'm not the only captain anymore, I guess it's only fair to get Gill and Jay in on this too, huh?" Ollie's eyes lit up once again as he gasped, looking from Chip to Gillion before nodding quickly. "Sounds like a plan then... How about you get everything set up on the top deck with blankets and stuff, Ollie? Me, Jay and Gill will meet you up there in a bit, deal?" As Chip stood he was pushed back a small couple of steps as Ollie towered over him and hugged him tightly.

"T-Thank you thank you thank you! I-I'll go do all of that! Right now! This is gonna be so cool!" With that, Ollie took off, grabbing as many things as he could and dragging them up to the top deck.

Chip stood there for a second, still processing the hug from Ollie as Gillion stepped up to him. "That was very sweet of you to agree to, Chip... And with all of the captains? Quite endearing-"

"Yeah, yeah enough of that-" Chip scoffed and rolled his eyes jokingly. "What was I gonna do? Tell him to deal with it and go back to bed? God no... I just..." Chip trailed off, looking down as he stuck his hand into his pocket, twirling the coin from Arlin slowly. Gillion seemed to pick up on what Chip was thinking about, this stance Chip usually took on being familiar to him.
