Waking up with a start, [Your name] frantically looked around. A wave of panic rushed through her body and she forced herself to her feet as she tried to figure out where she was. She felt around in her pockets; no phone, no wallet. There wasn't anything she could use to try and figure out what the hell was going on.
One thing she knew, for sure, was that the mark on her shoulder that she had been born with was burning. And she didn't know why.
Trees surrounded her. She was definitely in the forest. An old, stone staircase was just across from her, but she quickly moved past it, hoping that the trail would lead to somewhere—a town, a house, anything.

"Bonnie, what the hell did you do?" Elena asked, her eyes wide as she watched her best friend looking over a grimoire.
Bonnie looked up with a deep frown. "Elena. I don't... I don't know. I thought this was just for—"
"Bonnie, something had to happen. Something bad," she said, coming over to try and read the grimoire. "What does this even say?"
"It was a summoning spell. I thought it would help me summon a ghost," she said, looking around the bedroom. Nothing was there. The candles were completely burnt out, but there was no sign of a spirit there with them.
"Read it again," Elena said, moving to grab her phone. "What if you did something—"
Bonnie shot her friend a look as she began to reread the grimoire. There was so much to it—but a word popped out to her that hadn't in her first couple of readings.
"Elena," she said, standing up and bringing the book over. She pointed to a sentence, her face paling. "I swear, I read ghost. But this says alternate universe."
Elena let her hand drop to her side as she held onto her phone. "Wait. Like," she let out a curt laugh. "Like the 'universe' we learned about in English class? I don't even understand what you mean, Bonnie."
Bonnie's face was sullen, and she swallowed thickly. "Elena, I think I may have summoned someone from a different reality..."

[Your name] came to a park, very close to a small town. It looked familiar, but she couldn't quite place her finger on it. She quickly rushed towards the sidewalk, ignoring the weird looks people were giving her. Glancing towards a window, she noticed that she was completely covered in what looked to be dirt. No wonder people were looking at her weird.
Across from the street where she looked in the window stood a restaurant. As she looked at the name, her face paled. The Mystic Grill.
"No," she whispered, her hands gripping onto her shirt. This cannot be happening, she thought to herself. I have no fucking clue where I am.
Taking in a deep breath and looking both ways, she made her way across the street. She swung open the door and beelined to the bar.
"Excuse me," she said, taking no notice at the people sitting by the bar.
A blond man turned around to face her. His name tag read Matt.
"How can I help you?" he asked, raising an eyebrow.
"Do you, uh, do you have a phone that I could borrow really quick? I have no idea where mine is, and I really need to make a phone call."
He nodded and motioned for her to come over to the side as he handed her the telephone. "Here. Take all the time you need. Do you want something to drink?"
