"So you understand the rules?" My dad said to me sternly as i rolled my eyes at his stubbornness.
"Yes dad, no distracting the boys, i know i'm there to work, i know what i'm doing, i'll be professional i promise" I said and he nodded stiffly
"Good i'm just looking out of you Amy, as well as the boys, they need to be in focus" My dad said and i nodded
"I get that dad, i agree!" I said "Now can we please go" i added on excitedly
He nodded and sent me a smile "nice to see your excited to start working there"
"it will be my first proper job, of course i am! i know it's only being an assistant but it sounds like a fun job" I said and he smiled
"You will love it! Okay let's go, we have got training to do before we need to head of to Budapest on Wednesday for the match" My dad said and i nodded
It is now Friday and is the start of international break for the world cup qualifiers, i am so excited to work with the team, i know a few of them.
Today's the first day of training, i will be helping out with the boys and just running errands for my dad. I'm also gonna be trained into doing the sports massages to help out as there's only one person there right now to get through the whole team.
Me and my dad jump in the car and head to St. George's park.
"Okay so today your just gonna be starting off with welcoming the boys, marking down attendance, doing the coffee runs and then at lunch time your gonna meet with Hollie and start your massage training as she has a few of the boys this afternoon, sound good?" My dad explains as we pull up at the stadium
"Yeah sounds good" I said confidently
He parks up and we get out of the car.
"Good morning everyone" He greets as we enter to the reception.
He gets a cheery response from everyone.
"This is my daughter Amelia, she starts working here today as i'm sure you are all aware" My dad said and everyone waved to me and said hello
I smiled "Hi everyone"
"Okay Amy this is Cole, he's going to be helping you today and guiding you on your tasks, i need to go start working but if you need anything just text me" My dad said
"No problem dad" I said and he headed off "Hey Cole, nice to meet you"
"You too Ameila" He smiled and gave me a small hug
"Oh call me Amy" I said and he smiled and nodded
"Okay so your first task is simply standing outside and greeting the players as they arrive" Cole explained "so they each arrive one by one, you need to tick of their names on this clip board and write down the time of arrival"
"Okay no problem" I said taking the clipboard that he handed me.
"i'll come with you for your first day" Cole explained and i nodded gratefully
We walked out the main entrance and looked about making sure nobody had arrived
"Training starts at 8:30 so they should be arriving fairly soon" Cole said and i looked at my watch which said 8:12. "speaking of"
A car pulled up and out came Jordan Henderson who i have met before.
"Hello guys" He said as he got out of the car and headed to the boot to grab his bag "Amy what are you doing here kiddo"
"Working for dad" I laughed "so much fun" i groaned sarcastically
"Well i'm glad your here" He chuckled
