A loud blaring noise went off. The reactor was having a meltdown
"Steve. DK, left reactor. Tubbo with me," Toast ordered, but he seemed upset now. Steve and DK ran to the left reactor and DK placed his hand on it. He waited for a minute before the reactor cleared.
Then they all headed around to do nothing. Tubbo found them.
"Do you guys think its Toast?" He asked. They glanced at each other and shrugged, playing dumb
"Not sure. It could be either of you. We've been together the entire time,"
"Of course. Wonder what's gonna happen then," Tubbo said. They watched as he walked off again, most likely going to find Toast.
"Hey, DK. Promise me something when we get out of here," Steve said and turned to the older man. DK nodded and tilted his head
"What?" He asked. Steve shifted his weight, clearly trying to think of what words to say
"Promise me that you'll be my boyfriend when we get back," Steve said with a nervous smile, but before DK could open his mouth to respond they were back in the black room.
'Lovers win' was all it said.
Then they were back at Steves house, getting ready to stream. All their memories of the game came rushing back.
"We're back?" Steve asked, shock playing across his face. DK nodded and a smile appeared.
"Yeah. Looks like it. And we are just in time for the lobby," DK said, and got ready to start the stream. Steve grabbed his wrist before he could hit the button to go live
"Answer the question I asked you," Steve whispered. DK decided to mess it Steve for a moment
"What question?" He asked, Steve glared at him
"Dont make me ask again please,"
"I don't remember, what question?" DK said, a teasing smile on his face. Steve groaned and looked at the man
"Dakotaz, will you be my boyfriend?" Steve asked, darlings. Real smile from DK. The older man tangled a hand through Steves hair and pulled the man in for a kiss. Steve grabbed DKs waist gently before they pulled back.
"That would be a yes," DK said and hit the button. They joined the lobby and greeted everyone. And got a lecture from mama Hafu. Toast, 5up, Karl, Tubbo, Smajor, Ellum, Koji, Fundy, Janet, Kimi, Dumbdog, and Peter were playing, all using the same colors they had in whatever reality the men had birth just lived through.
It spooked them both but neither showed it, then the game started
And they were lovers
