I woke up to get ready for school it was my senior year. Forty more days until I'm done with it. I walked in my little brother Kale room to wake him up but he was getting out the bed to my surprising. I walked in the bathroom brushed my teeth and wash my face. As I was fixing me and Kale some cereal my phone kept going off.

Damn the fuck happen to you Rick? I put the bowls back in the cabinet. I put on my hoodie and tucked my glock in my side. "Come on Dre you have one job and that's feeding me." I chuckled to myself. "Fuck you lil dude, but I'm about to take you to McDonald's." He walked in my room and said "Mom wouldn't like you missing school Dre." I looked at him
"Just don't get hurt or in trouble you've all I got man for real." I seen the concern in his eyes
"I promise Kale I won't. Ma told me to protect you at all cost and I won't ever fail. You hear me?" He nodded his head then we walked out to go get him food before school.

Ricky POV
Fuck he got me. As I lay in a puddle of my own blood I hear John screaming my name shooting his gun.
"Stay with me Rick" I can see him crying but I can't move I think this is the end of me.
John POV
I can't sit here knowing they just shot Rick. His mom said he was in surgery really hope he pull through.
I really just need Dre he a fool with that tool I call him Dre Wick.
"Sup Dre. You good?" I dapped him up
"Mane not really ima be good in a few."
Me and Dre was rolling up and waiting on the guys when he got a call saying Kale skipped school.
"Damn Kale skipped school and his phone going to voicemail." He looked worried
"Let's go looking for him. You know anywhere he can be hanging out at?"
He seen him across the road and heard a car screeching. He grabbed his gun and ran outside. POW POW POW POW POW POW I ran outside and seen the car crashed into the building up the street. I looked over and seen Kale on the ground.
Kate POV
I walked in class and I didn't see Dre. I took my phone out and texted him, but got no respond.
I know how he really live he so smart to be in the streets but if someone killed my mom I'll understand. I was looking out the blinds and I seen Kale running off campus. I grabbed my purse and walked out and got in my car.
I turned out the parking lot and Kale was still running, then he hit a cut and my car wasn't gone fit. As I drove on the next street I seen a white charger shooting. I pressed the brakes shoots was just ringing. I seen Kale hit the ground then I sped around the corner. Dre had just scooped him he turnt around and seen me he ran to my car putting Kale in the back.
"Kate pull up on that car." His eyes were in rage as he switched clips in his gun.
As I pulled up to car he hung his gun out the window firing. POW POW POW POW POW POW. He then got out point blank POW POW POW after he shot all three he got back in my car like none happen.
"Kate everything is gone be okay i promise. Take him home with you and take this." He handed me a gun. "No. I can't take this to my house." He looked back at Kale
Kale POV
"Kale take this and protect her you hear me?" He handed me the gun
I nodded as he got the car running back to John.
I climbed in the front she was just shaking biting her lips.
"Calm down Kate I'll protect you with my life cause my brother asked me to." She rubbed my head and cracked a smile.
We got to her house and she put her car in the garage. She got in the house and closed all the blinds. She sighed and walked up to me and have me a tight hug. She turned the cameras on and sat on the couch, she looked over at me still clutching on the gun.
"Your safe Kale put it on the chair beside you." She gave me a warm smile.
I put the gun on the chair.
"You know your brother really loves your right." I looked at her
"He has no other choice my mom left him a task. I know he loves me, but I love him more. I just seen my brother kill three people. I'm only thirteen. Since he put your life in my hands you won't have to worry it's my task from my brother." I was shocked that he looked up to Dre like that.
"Kale your brother loved your mom so much baby after she passed he had no one to vent to she was his light like his is yours. I pray that he gets you away from this place. I don't want you guys to die in Missouri."
