Mashiho's pov

I contacted Jihoon hyung and told him I wanted to meet up, I wanted to know who I was really hanging out with

"Mashi-

"Did you really do that?" I interrupted him asking

"Do what?" He asked as he tilted his head in confusion and then walked close to me

"Did you really kill Chanhee?" I asked and I saw his eyes go wide

"Fuck Hyunsuk, that bastard" he muttered holding his nose bridge

"Did you?" I asked again

"Follow me" He said and dragged my hand and started walking to his car

We got into his car and was welcomed with silence

"I didn't" he broke the silence

"He fell but I didn't push him" he said clutching the steering tight while looking down

"Then what did you do to him?" I asked

"Why do you want to know Mashi, I really didn't do it" he said

"Well I want to be sure of the people I hangout with"

"Fine...

Chanhee along side Hyunsuk were my friends, Just that I was closer to Junkyu and Haruto

I began to notice how Chanhee's behaviour started changing around me

Like when we're alone, he stutters a lot whenever he speaks, he suddenly blushes whenever I look at him

I began to connect the dots and I concluded that he had a crush on me

I really never thought of him in that way

I decided to give him some space because I thought the feelings were still new so they would die off easily, I started avoiding him and Hyunsuk

Hyunsuk started to act mean towards me and I understand, he was doing that because of the way I was treating Chanhee

But I had to do it, I was afraid that if we ended up dating and eventually break up someday, our friendship would be ruined

He still came to me and started doing things for me, I didn't ask him to do them but he kept doing those things for me

It was really hard seeing him do those things out of love while I was trying to avoid him

One day I was in the cafeteria and he walked up to me and suddenly confessed

I didn't know what to do, if I accepted him, I would just be playing with his feelings, I rejected him

I didn't mean to do it publicly but he confessed publicly so I had to reply publicly

After that day, I didn't see him anymore, I was only receiving insults and sudden punches from Hyunsuk

I then got a message from him saying he wanted us to meet at the rooftop of his faculty

I arrived there and saw him already seated, he looked a lot thinner, he had eye bags beneath his eyes, it made me really worry for him

He smiled when he saw me and then he said he wanted to clear up things

He told me that he was thankful I rejected him, my rejection made him realise his feelings were just mere infatuations

He said he would still be friends with me and of course I still wanted to be his friend

We hugged and then he gave me a necklace, he said that the necklace would be the beginning of our new friendship...little did I know that the beginning of our new friendship...was the end" Jihoon hyung said and wiped his tears while touching the padlock necklace on his neck

"He rested on the edge of the rooftop and said the words that were really confusing at that time, but I cherished them very much

'Jihoon-ah, I'm glad we met in this life and I hope we meet in our next life, I really value you and I hope Hyunsuk won't be hard on you...I know you have a thing for him, take care of him and yourself ' he said smiling

I smiled back at him not knowing those were his last words, next thing I knew he removed his hands that supported him and then he fell backwards

I was so shocked, I looked down and my eyes locked with Hyunsuk's eyes, his face had drop stains of Chanhee's blood, I immediately ran out of the rooftop and contacted the hospital for help

But Chanhee had already died, I was beyond devastated, Hyunsuk stopped coming to school for a while and that worried me a lot

I had to fulfill Chanhee's last wish, I had to smile even though I was filled with so much pain, I had to take care of Hyunsuk but he kept pushing me away even till now..." he said and then sighed and turned to look at me

"Now you know Mashi...I hope you don't leave me like Hyunsuk did without knowing the full truth" he said and held my hands while looking at me

"I won't hyung...but I don't think Hyunsuk hyung can come back to you unless you talk to him" I said and he nodded

"But hyung"

"Hm?"

"Did you like Hyunsuk hyung?" I asked

"I did before and after Chanhee's death but he kept pushing me, I don't really know if I like him anymore...but I like someone else now" he said and ruffled my hair

"Really?...You and Hyunsuk hyung would really look good together but if you're happy with the person you like, then it is okay...I hope you end up with the person you like" I said and he smiled

"I hope so too" he said caressing my cheeks
