~𝙰 𝚂𝚠𝚎𝚎𝚝 𝙶𝚕𝚒𝚝𝚌𝚑~𝙺𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝙲𝚊𝚗𝚍𝚢 𝚇 𝙵𝚎𝚖! 𝚁𝚎𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚛

I open my eyes so that I didn't even know we were shut and only to see gold. It was a gold medal! It says "HERO" on it... "Where and how did you get this?" I ask as I tilt my head and rested my hand on my hip. She had a devious grin on her face. "You don't need to worry your little old head about that, my dear acquaintance. We are going in the race finally after years, " she said as she started to skip away. "But...there's only one, " Vanellope stopped in her tracks and thought about it. "Well, then you'll be in the race, " she said as she walked toward me.

"W-WHA-?!" Many things popped up, noting that I had crashed a bit due to shock.

[*(Y/N).EXE_HAS_CRASHED*]

Vanellope had to press a continue button for me to come back to my senses. "Thank you. What? Me? Thanks, but no thanks, " I say as I give the medal back to her. Vanellope looks down at the medal and sighs in defeat. "Fine, but I will find a way for you to race, " she said as we started to walk away. I want to know where she got that medal from...hopefully she didn't steal it from somebody.

The sound of car engines can be heard from a long way from the race track. The racers got out of their cars and walked to where the others were. Vanellope and I were hiding between the stands of the NPCs. "Citizens of Sugar Rush, " the most bored and tired voice said through a mic that echoed throughout the place. Vanellope had a huge grin on her rosy cheeks. "Just in time, " she said as she put her hood on and walked away. I started to follow behind but stopped when Sour Bill, the royal assistant, started to speak again. "All hail your rightful ruler, King Candy, " he said as he slightly moved out of the way. A jolly happy man jumped out with a huge goofy smile.

"Hello, my royal subjects! Ha-ha! Have some candy!" he exclaimed with a slight lisp. Everyone screamed as he threw candy at them. "Thank you for that wonderful introduction, Sour Bill!" "Mhm," was all he said before he moved out of the way. "And welcome to the annual Random Roster Race! A race where if you win, you will be the race's avatar!" he exclaimed in his jolly voice. The crowd buzzed in excitement at this. "Now, this is the way to play, we all know this, " he said as he waved his hand in a joking manner. "The way to compete is with one gold coin."

He whipped out a glowing gold coin. Soon, the other racers whipped out a coon as well. "From the last race that you've one! Which, hehe, I have! Let me go first!" King Candy pulled a licorice rope and a bell rang. Targets popped out as he threw his coin onto it. It tossed his coin onto the other target, and so on until it flew into the cup on the race lice.

"King Candy!"

The announcer said as his name popped up on the board. The crowd cheered as he put his race gloves on with a grin. The other racers went, and so on. I noticed Vanellope was at the end of the line, waiting for her turn to throw her coin-ergh...medal. I also noticed how...sweet King Candy was to all the other people, except for us. Why does he treat us like this? We will never know.

"Candlehead!"

It was now Vanellope's turn. She kissed the medal good luck and threw it. As it bounced up to the cup, King Candy was staring at me, watching me hide to make sure no one saw me. God knows what they would do if they saw me hiding here. They'd probably kick my as-.

"Vanellope Von-Shweets!"

"Yippee! I'm in the race!" she exclaimed in excitement as she glitched out a bit. Her hood fell off her head and showed her face. "Vanellope?!" Taffyta ripped away the cover that was over Vanellope's car. "The glitch!" Everyone gasps in shock, fear, and confusion. "Now, don't panic! Everything will be fine. SECURITY!" King Candy said through his mic as two guards started to walk towards Vanellope. "Come here, kid. We're not gonna hurt you, ya' little freak-." they stopped moving and started to crash a bit. "(Y/N)?!"

I was behind the guards with my hands on their shoulders. I was making them crash a bit, but not to where they would be deleted. "Don't worry, I got it! Go, now!" I say as my hands started to glitch a bit, pixels moving in all sorts of ways. She took her chance and started running. As she made her way to the candy-cane forest, a huge monster covered in green sticky goo was walking out with a very hateful look. He pointed at Vanellope. "You! Give me back my medal right now!" everyone started screaming as it chased her.

"What is that?!" King Candy exclaimed as he took the helmet off his head. It was destroying things just to get to Vanellope, and I couldn't do anything about it. As it chased her, a cupcake landed on him, making him not able to move. Vanellope sprinted around him while giggling at him. He soon fell down.

I had to let go of the guards to get a rest in my hands and to catch the monster. I ran away from the scene in just enough time for them to see what had happened.

"Now we've got him."
