Chapter two

My stomach ached but hunger still didn't come to me, the nightmares and visions made my appetite absent. I sat at the Slytherin table picking at my food when Sarina Majost walked in, the cardigan she had been wearing constantly for the last three weeks was missing and wow. Her waist was slim as it always had been but her chest had nearly tripled in size from last year. Her white button up shirt fit her body perfectly, pinching tight at the waist showing off her curves. The blue skirt she wore fell mid thigh on her showing a peek of her flawless pale skin where her stockings and skirt gaped. As she walked through the grate hall all eyes from the Slytherin table fell on her, and the boys started to whisper about her new figure. Her robe open in the front but covering her back, it was a shame that it hid her immaculate rear, but it kept from others prying eyes. Her long light brown hair swayed when she walked as it fell elegantly down her back. I could hear the other boys comments and my blood boiled with jealousy and possessiveness. I wanted to rip their eyes from their heads of it meant they couldn't soil her with their perverted glances.
"Get a look at Majost" Jaxon Grey nudged Goyal with his elbow " who knew that's what she had hiding under there" he said.
My fists clenched around my fork and I held back the urge to drive it into the table.
I had tried to not let her under my skin, to keep her at arms length, be meaner then normal but it wasn't working. She invaded my mind and made a home fo herself in my head, the first thought I had in the morning was of her and the last thought before sleep was her. Her irritating temper infuriated and intrigued me at the same time, no one stuck up to me like she did.
I've felt drawn to her since year one and did everything to draw her away from me, but everything I did kept her closer in my mind. I tried to ignore her in years 4 and 5 but it lead to that wonderful day in Hogsmead at the end of last year. I can still feel the softness of her lips on mine, her hand placed gently on my chest as I pulled her in closer. I can still smell her perfume from that day, how floral she smelt, like a field of daisies with a freshness that came after rainfall.
"Draco!" Pansy snapped me out of my head as she plopped herself down across from me. "Is it true you smelt nothing in potions class last week? That brakes my heart dracy!" She bat her eye lashes at me. With a roll of my eyes I responded, keeping up the lie I had told "yup, not a whiff of anything" I said.
"Shame." She said, and then started on a conversation with the girl beside her. I had lied, I did smell something in the potion sarina and I made, but I wasn't about to reveal to the whole class what I smelt. I wasn't about to reveal that I smelt daisies, fresh rain and peaches, that would make me sound like a pussy.
"I think she looks trashy, she clearly stuffs her shirt, no ones boobs grow overnight like that" pansy said, looking in the direction of Ravenclaw house. I bent my head around pansy and made eye contact with sarina as she sat down. She had more makeup on than she usually did but her eyes seemed puffy, had she been crying? She darted her eyes away from me and hung her head, a dark haired boy next to her rubbed her back. I could feel my neck getting hot with anger as his hands stroked up her spine, clearly comforting her for some reason.
"Don't you think so Draco?" Pansy and her friend looked to me, expecting a snide comment about sarinas chest.
"Shut up pansy" I said, pushing my plate back.
"What? I'm just saying they probably arnt real!" She laughed.
"Maybe her dad payed for a boob job" her friend snickered. Crab and Goyal laughed at their remarks, piling food into their faces.
"20 bucks and I'll find out for you" Jaxon said, making a crude grabbing jester with his hands. That was it, I snapped. Slamming my plate down I pushed up from the table, chest heaving with anger. I stared down at my friends, who looked back in confusion. My eyes flashed up to see sarina and her friend starring back at me, I darted my eyes away. Unable to voice my displeasure for their remarks I stormed off out of the grate hall, fists clenched, I needed some air. Passing by students I headed to the ruins just outside the school. Once at the stone walls and ruined buildings I placed my hands on the cold rocks and took in a deep shaky breath. The leaves had started to fall
As it was the first week of October, the air grew colder as a breeze blew through me, making me shiver. My white dress shirt and black pants provided little warmth when it came to the cooling temperatures. I took in a few more shaking breaths before my knuckles unclenched, attempting to release my anger. Pushing a hand through my hair, I let my neat style fall sloppy across my forehead as I turned my back To the stone, leaning against it. I shoved my hands in my pockets and kicked a rock when I noticed her standing there. Robe flowing in the wind, she fixed her hair that had whipped In front of her face, and in her hand she held a peach.
"Draco.." sarina said softly.
"Sarina" I said, stepping forward towards her, she took a step away from me and my heart stung.
"I just wanted to make sure you were okay, I've never seen you so upset" She said, her eyes shifting from the ground to mine. Her usually grey eyes had a sheen of green to them and the whites were rimmed with red, she had in-fact been crying. The skin around her eyes was puffy but she still looked beautiful.
"Why do you care?" The harsh words were out of my mouth before I could stop them and I could see the hurt in her face instantly. She glanced back to the ground and nodded in my direction as she went to turn away.
"Sorry I asked" she said.
"Wait! I'm sorry, I've just been.... Stressed is all" I said, reaching an arm out for her, stoping myself as she flinched away.
"Are you okay? Your eyes... have you been crying?" I asked her. Her eyes shifted to the side away from mine and she let out a big smile.
"I'm okay, allergies is all" she said, her smile almost instantly fading, she wasn't a good lier.
I nodded in response, not wanting to push her on the subject. I reached for her hand slowly, this time she didn't shy away from my touch. I took her small soft hand in mine and rubbed my thumb across the back of her hand. I watched as my finger moved across her skin, feeling her touch in mine. Her eyes stayed fixed on our hands as mine moved to her face, her expression flat and unreadable.
"Why?" She said so softly I almost missed it
"Beg your pardon?" I asked.
"Why.. why do you turn into a different person when no one else is around? Why are you so cruel just to then hold my hand and kiss me at Hogsmead. Why?" She said, starting off flat but as she went on her face contorted to anger, anger aimed at me.
I opened my mouth to respond but no words came out, I stood their like an idiot, mouth agape. She huffed, dropped my hand and stormed off.
"Shit.." I muttered to myself, I stood there for a while longer. Why couldn't I tell her I had been trying to push her away, why couldn't I find words to explain she's been the only thing on my mind for months, how she's made a permanent bed in my mind and worked her way into my heart. I ran my hand down my face and started back to the school, hoping to find sarina. Once inside the dark hallways of Hogwarts the chatter of Sarina Majosts new look was spreading like wildfire. Boys and girls murmured questions about her chest being real or fake, how someone's aunts boobs grew 4 sizes in 2 months once and all sorts of nonsense rumors. My face hardened as I walked through the hallways, trying to escape the comments more than find sarina I turned a corner quickly headed away from the grand hall. Once around the corner I saw sarina leaned against the wall with Jaxon Greys arm above her. He leaned against her with one arm while placing his other hand on her waist. I back up, placing my back against the wall and out of sight as I listened in on their conversation.
"You ever been to the Slytherin Halloween party?" Jaxon asked
"No, I had never been invited" she said.
"We'll how about you be my date this year" he said. Date? That slimy bastard was just making a bet with pansy that ended in him having to grope her! My teeth clenched at the idea of his hands on her.
"Uhm. Yeah sure. It should be fun" she said.
"Awsome!" He said and then strolled off down the hallway. I stood against the wall angry at them both, how dare he, and how could she? I cracked my knuckles when I heard a new voice.
"I told you, you'd got a date!... now you can get your mind off that pale haired bully" said a boys voice.
"Yeah I guess so, it still just doesn't feel right mark, not with what's going on, I don't want to" she said.
"Rina hunny, I know. But I'm not letting you slip down that road again, your all I have left " mark said.
"Your all I have left too" she said, her voice cracking at the end into tears. Their foot steps sounded as they moved closer, I quickly ducked to hide from their sight. They passed and I stepped back into the hall, the brown haired boy from breakfast had his arm around sarina and her head lay on his chest as they walk. "Pale haired bully?" I thought to myself "Had he meant me? Was I on her mind?"
