It's all dark. I have no idea what is going on, and, on top of that, my head hurts.
I've probably died from over using sarcasm to the point where my heart gave up on trying to keep me being kind and now I'm stuck in a some post-death void. Darn it.
I suddenly feel my hands again, then my legs and the rest of my body. I feel like I'm standing, but on what?
I try to walk through the complete darkness, but I don't go far before bumping into something... a wall?
Okay, so this isn't a void.
Before I really start panicking, the... uh... room, I guess, is lit with dim blue light from an unseen source. Well, crap. I'm screwed.
I can now see a decently small room, about the size of mine at Gina's. There's no door, just an empty, windowless room.
A bright light comes from one wall, so bright I look away. It quickly fades, and when I look back I see an old foe and a... uh... I have no idea what that thing is.
"Ah, Elizabeth! We meet again!" Gideon Gleeful boy exclaims, and I groan.
"Such a pleasure, as always. Hey Gids, who's your buddy?" I ask, tilting my head while examining that- uh- triangle is as basic as it gets.
The floating triangle answers in a robotic-like male voice, "The name's Bill Cipher, kid! And I can see that you're one who tends to get in trouble. You're going to be an interesting piece of the puzzle, I give you that."
I just stand there for a second, trying to soak in that the triangle- with no mouth- spoke to me. I quickly recover, then ask, "Wait, what am I doing here? Where am I? What do you two want with me?"
Bill answers. Gideon seems to be a bit uncomfortable around him, staring at his shoes and shuffling his feet. "Well, Liz, you're here because me and Gideon here need you for something, and this-" Bill gestures to the room around him, "Is the mindscape, or a small part of it. Everything that happens here is really happening in your head."
Bill continues, not trying to elaborate and confuse me, "But anyway, I needed to ask you- before my plan of mass destruction is put in place- if you would work with us."
"With you? Wait... what?" I question, really confused now. What would you want with me?
"As you should know, kid, you're not the same as everyone else. Neither is that aunt of yours, but we don't need to get into that. You can see things no one else can. You have the gift of prophecy. You are able to have "visions" of the past, present, and future. That's why I need you on my side. Look, decline, I'll still win. But with you I can speed up the process of everything." Bill says (I suppose says is the correct word, considering he has no mouth).
I suppose my expression told him how lost I was, so he rolled his eye and snapped his fingers.
Suddenly, images flood though my brain. Just glimpses, but I could make out some of them. Two twin boys, laughing as they run through the rain, an older man with a girl, kissing on a park bench, two toddlers in pink and blue drawing pictures with crayons, and then a flash of bright blue/white light coming from a triangular machine. It doesn't make much sense, but I understand what he means now. I'M THAT'S SO RAVEN!!!
"You see? You are a force to be reckoned with, Liz! And together, we could have absolute power! Don't you want that? It's a small price to pay with a larger reward than you could imagine!" Bill exclaims, and my conscience is telling me to say stranger danger and run, but I decide to play him a bit longer. It could be to my benefit.
"What kinda price you talking about, Bill?" I ask.
"All I want is your mind. Unlimited use of it. Just an occasional invasion of your brain. When you consider the reward, it's such a small price to pay, really. So, do we have a deal?" Bill asks. I can so tell he's like a sleezy car salesman: tell you as little as possible and make it sound good until you get it, and it's not what you expected.
"Sorry, but no. I like being the only one to use my brain." I reply. Not gonna get me, you cheat!
"Suit yourself. Just trying to save you the trouble of definite destruction of everything you hold dear- but oh well. I'll be seeing you again real soon. Until then." And with that, he disappears, and Gideon stays behind. He gives me a look, a concerned and kind of scared one, but then he's gone too.
"YOU HAVEN'T WON, SILLY GIRL. AND YOU WON'T. BUT ENJOY YOURSELF FOR NOW..." Bill's voice echoes around me as the world seems to fade and turns back to black.
