Chapter 23 - Strings Attached

I started to cry as panic was racing through me.

Jinx: "But he'll kill them!!"

Honey: "Now they've both gone and gotten themselves captured."

Trois: "Who should we go for first?"

Honey: "Neither! We should run for it, before they get us caught too!"

Jinx: "No! I won't leave my brothers here to be killed!!"

Honey: "Then you can stay!"

Trois: "Honey, she's a little girl."

Honey: "I KNOW! But if she won't come with us, then there isn't another option!"

Trois: "We can't leave. You know they'd help us."

Honey: "They wouldn't be able to help us because they don't have what it takes to escape! I mean it's their fault we're in this situation in the first place!! We don't owe them anything!"

Jinx: "Bull! Shit!"

Honey: "Let's get out of here!"

He turned to leave.

Jinx: "BASTARD! If you walk away, I won't forgive you!"

Trois: "Hey, Honey."

Honey: "What is it now?"

Trois: "You... are very unattractive right now."

He froze and turned back around, clearly pissed. Meanwhile, Jyugo fell to the floor. Uno tried to reach out to him.

Uno: "JYUGO! You bastard! Damn you! Let go of me!"

Ruka: "Shut your mouth or I'll cut your insolent tongue out."

Jyugo tried to reach out but got his hand stomped.

Uno: "Leave him alone!!"

Ruka: "Are you still more worried about him than yourself? You're actually quite irritating. I think I might eliminate you first."

He raised his dagger.

Jinx: "UNO!"

Uno: "Stay there, Jinx!"

Ruka: "You care for that child too... Oh, I get it... you're their little ringleader. Oh well, I'll make it quick."

Jyugo: "Uno..."

I wriggle out of Trois hold and grabbed the front of Honey's shirt in desperation. Tears streaming down my face.

Jinx: "Honey, please! I'm sorry, but please save my brothers! I'm begging you!!"

Trois: "Honey, this is last resort."

Honey: "*sigh* Such a pain..."

He held up his hand and I flinched as Ruka's knife suddenly broke. The shard coming back to Honey's grasp. I let go of him, staring wide eyed.

Ruka: "My knife... but how?"

Honey: "This sucks! I'm all for rescuing damsels. But they're supposed to be female."

Trois took my hand and the three of us took a few steps towards them. I was still shocked at how the hell he did that. Honey stuck up his middle finger, as usual.
