Chapter 9 || Revivals and Questions

"I'll watch them so they don't destroy anything," XD sighed, Drista snickered and Wilbur nodded,

"Let's go then," Wilbur stated,

-In limbo-

Dream was laying on the floor like always, he heard a small click, flick, snap, he turned his head to see the lava lowering, Dream stood up, either the gods were seeing him again or he's getting revived,

Once the lava fully lowered he saw the Goddess of Death across the lava pit, she took the bridge across and nodded to Dream,

"What do you need?" Dream asked harshly, "Nothing, you're just getting revived now," she said without looking at him, there was a small smile on her face but Dream didn't care,

"Really?" Dream asked, excitement leaked into his voice without him realizing it, the Death Goddess laughed silently at him,

"Yes, I only have one request for you in the living world," she mused, "What is it?" Dream asked blankly, "Listen to the promise you made," she told him,

"I made a promise?" Dream asked, "Yes, you'll remember it once you live again," the Death Goddess told him,

Dream was about to say something when he felt.. unusually light, he looked down to see him disappearing into gold, green, and blue dust,

He smiled genuinely before disappearing from the lava cell,

-Back to the living world-

Dream appeared under a tree in a field, he was suddenly hit by strong wave of exhaustion, he immediately fell to the ground he coughed out a happy yet tired laugh as his eyes flickered shut,

Wilbur, Phil, Techno, Tommy, and Drista appeared from the trees, they heard the tired coughs of laughter, the walked silently to the tree where the saw Dream laying on the ground,

The strange thing about Dream was the blue blood still soaking his sleeve, Wilbur crouched down and rolled Dream's sleeve up, the scar was a very pale blue and wasn't bleeding,

Wilbur sighed before picking him up bridal style, "Let's go back now I guess," Wilbur said, they nodded before walking back into the forest,

-Time skip-

As Wilbur, Techno, Phil, Tommy, and Drista approached the SBI houses and immediately heard the sound of screaming, Techno and Phil sighed before running to see what was happening,

As the others approached they saw XD and Phil scolding Nightmare and Lucid as Techno death glared them, Drista groaned in annoyance,

"What'd they fo this time?" She complained, "The decided to try to piss of Steve," XD hissed, Techno's glare grew even more murderous by the second,

"Big T calm down!" Tommy said as he and Drista snickered at Nightmare and Lucid, "If they succeeded in angering Steve they would not be alive right now," Techno hissed, "And I am not in the mood to deal with two dead bodies," Techno added,

Everyone except XD tensed up at the words before laughing at Nightmare and Lucid, XD finally noticed the sleeping Dream in Wilbur's arms,

"What?" Wilbur asked, "Nothing, you should put him in a guest room though, he might not be awake for awhile," XD informed him, Wilbur nodded before going inside his house,

Wilbur kicked his house door open and kicked it closed before walking to the guest room, he set Dream on the guest bed and took of his mask so it wouldn't hurt him, and turned to leave but heard a rustle and whimper from behind him,

Wilbur turned to see Dream curled up in a ball and shaking, he was very clearly having a nightmare, Wilbur felt a stab of pity for Dream, he walked back to the bed and sat next to Dream,
