Chapter 7

I start feeling the ache in my chest again and I start running out of air. I start choking and Matt quickly presses the red button. The only thing I could hear was Matt yelling at me to don't let go and the sound of the computer saying that my heart was not beating anymore.

The nurses came in running and started moving wires all around me. I peeked through a hole between two nurses and saw Matt crying at the other side of my bedroom window. The only thing I remember seeing is all these Memories of me and him when we were in high school. Suddenly all these memories start running through my mind and then, everything goes black.

Skylynn's POV~

We were all waiting outside of Natalie's room when a nurse pushed Matt out of the room. We all panicked and he leaned on the window to see what the nurses were doing to her.

Through a hole I could see the worried face of Natalie and then, she shut her eyes. I saw the monitor and saw that her heart beat stopped and the nurses stopped running in the room. Natalie...is gone.

Everyone in the room started crying and hugging Matt. I shook my head in disbelief and ran downstairs to the lobby where Hayes was carrying Natalie. Hayes looked up at me and when he saw my face, his smile fades away. I shook my head to tell him she was gone and she handed me the baby and ran to the elevator to the 5th floor.

I carried Natalie and started playing with her.

"Hey little girl." I say playing with her hands. "It's your aunt Sky."

She laughed and smiled at me and I started crying. I realized that she wasn't going to be raised with the love of her mother. What will she do when she has her first breakup? Her first love? Her wedding day?

"I'll be your mother." I said in tears. "I'll give you the love that you'll never have by your mom."

I won't marry Matt, but I'll help him raise her. I'll be there every morning at 7 am to make breakfast for her and Matt. I'll be there for her first break up. I'll be there for her first love. I'll be there the day of her wedding.

"I'll be there." I said to her.

She smiled and started laughing again and then I laughed with tears in my eyes. And there I stood, thinking of the day she'll ask me what her mom was like. What her laugh was like. What it was like to be with her.

And there I stood. Staring at the great person she'll be. Of the strong girl that will graduate college with the memories of her mother from only pictures. And there I stood, with my little Natalie.

Hayes POV~

I give the baby to Sky and run to the elevator. Once it opens, I push the button that has '5' on it and click several times the button to close the doors.

Natalie's dead.

The elevator opens again and I run to the ball of people. I get to Matt and see him cry. I stared at him for a couple of seconds and then I looked away.

I sat on a chair and started crying. I cried for 5 minutes and I started remembering the day of her wedding. I remember her dancing on the dance floor with Matt. I remember getting up and walking to her and asking Matt if I could dance with her. He gave me her hand and we started talking. Then I remember her talking about how she always wanted to be as successful as me. Her exact words were:

"I did it Uncle Hayes!" She said.

"I know. You are a married young women." I said.

"No," she replied. "I did it. Im finally as successful as you."

I looked at her.

"Since I was little, I always wanted to marry a beautiful of handsome person like you and be successful." She explained. "You have was been my role
Model. I've always wanted to be like you."

I felt a tear come out of my eyes and I looked away. She leaned her head against my chest and we danced.

"I love you, uncle Hayes." She said.

The word Hayes echoed in my head and then I heard Nash's voice calling me.

"Hayes." He shook me.

I looked at him coming to reality.

"It's time to go buddy." He says.

I looked around and saw that no one was there and Natalie's room lights were off.

"Is she gone?" I asked trying to understand this again.

He nodded yes.

"I'm sorry." I said.

He somehow managed to smile a little and then pulled me up and we both walked to the elevator in silence.

Kyle's POV~

The next day me and Caroline were sitting on the table, eating. I have barely touched my lasagna thinking about the memories I had with Natalie. Then, the memory of her comes to my head and I drop my glass on the table making all the water pour on the table.

"Kyle!" Caroline shouts standing up for a towel.

"She can't be dead!" I shout. "She just can't."

"But she is!" She shouts back. "And there's nothing we can do about it."

She made me realize that it's true. Not even if we killed Victo-

"Where's Victoria?" I ask.

"At the jail in Russia." She says. "Remember? The jail with most security in the world."

"Pack you bags," I say. "We're going to Russia."

"We're not going anywhere." She says.

I turn and give her a confused look.

"Listen." She says. "Kyle, I miss Natalie, too. I really do, but killing Victoria or doing anything with her won't make us feel better."

She's right.

"Ugh!" I shout. "I hate it when you're right."

I sit back down and we keep on eating.

"I have Something to tell you." She says setting down her utensils.

"What's up?" I ask.

"I'm...I'm...I'll be right back." She says running to the bathroom and coming back with a thing in her hands. She hands it to me and I notice that it's a pregnancy test. I see it and I notice that it has the two 'II' in green.

"What does this
Mean?" I ask.

"I'm pregnant!" She says.

I stay in shock. I do t know how to react. Should I be happy? That would make me feel worst for Natalie if I do.

"That's great!" I say hugging her. I decided that it was better if I was happy for her, for me, for us.

Nashlynn may be gone, but Lîfe needs to go on. I can't believe I just said that. I can't say that. I won't forget Nashlynn, ever. You will be missed Nashlynn. Forever.
