2 Months Later

Nashlynn's POV~

I'm at the hospital right now and I have been for the past 2 days. I started feeling nauseous and dizzy on Sunday. Today is Wednesday.

For the past 2 months I have been enjoying life until its limits with Matt and Natalie. Unfortunately, my time here is done and it is time for me to leave my legacy and only live in the memories of my loved ones.

Even though Natalie is too small to remember me, I am sure that Matt took enough photos to show Natalie how I looked like. I have survived 1 week more than the doctors thought.

According to the doctors, I should be dead already and I wish I was. I want to be over all the pity that people say they have for me when they really are just trying to be nice.

I am on a hospital bed in my room, number 450. I'm sure I'll hate that number for as long as I live, which is not going to be long 'till it ends.

I start to feel an ache in my chest. I press the red button to call for assistance and a Nurse comes in running 10 seconds later. I can't really talk for the lack of air I have so I put a hand over my chest and the nurse immediately takes out some pills and a glass of water. She rises my bed so I can be in a sitting posture and I take the pills.

Once I'm finished, the nurse lays my bed back downs so I can take a nap. I close my eyes and when I wake up, I check the clock. 5:30 p.m. I've been asleep for 6 hours.

I hit the red button again and a nurse comes running. She opens the door and asks me what's wrong. I point to a picture of me and Matt that's next to my bed and she nods.

"I'll bring your husband in, then." She says.

I nod and manage to smile at her to say thanks. She smiles back and leaves the room. 1 minute later Matt comes in running and kneels next to me.

"Natalie. Natalie! What's wrong dear?" He says taking my hand.

I take a deep breath so I have enough air to talk.

"Nothing is wrong, Matt." I say. "I just need to talk to you."

"I'm right here." He says.

"Listen," I start. "We both know that one of these days I will die and I don't want to without telling you something."

He pulls up a chair and grabs my hand again.

"Remember the day of our wedding?" I ask randomly.

"Like it was yesterday." He says.

"I was just remembering that I made a promise to you and I will break it." I say.

He gives me a look of surprise and fear.

"I promised you that I would be with you until your last breath." I say. "Little did I know that I was going to die first."

We both laugh a little.

"Don't worry about that now, Nashlynn." He says.

I hold up my hand to show him that I'm not done.

"All I wanted to do was tell you that it has been and honor to be your wife."

He smiles and kisses my hand.

"The honor, was mine." He says.

We Both start talking about memories of us together before we had Natalie. Matt laughs as he tells me when we both went to Amsterdam and I pretended I was talking Dutch with a person even though I didn't know how to talk Dutch. I ended up cussing out the poor lady.
