The school day was nearing its end in Edoka. In school, you kept a low profile but still captured the guys' attention. This had Kaito's gears grinding. He wanted nothing more than to flip a table on them. Staring at you giggling with some of the class girls, he sighed and continued to watch you from afar. 'You've really done it now, Kaito. And falling for a skilled detective no less. You're Kaitou Kid for gods sake!', Kaitou reprimanded himself. He did his research last night and was beyond speechless. You've accomplished a lot but some articles required him to pay to read online. He didn't want to waste his money or likely get tracked so he got the basic information.

Despite reprimanding himself, when he stared back at you he realised his heart couldn't help it. "The heart wants, what it wants", he sighed out and looked out the window, now staring at the cherry blossoms. 'Code-8 Detective Ace of London...why 8? The news said nothing on that, he pondered and grew dazed by the scenery.

You stopped giggling and eyed Kaito from the corner of your eye. You've turned suspicious of him now. Being a magician with a taller good figure on him - it's like he's practically asking to be arrested. You closed your eyes and stood up from your seat. The chair screeched as you moved back. This got Kaito's attention as you walked out of the classroom. Curious, the boy followed you without you noticing. Or so he thought.

You knew. You felt it. You made your way out of the school gates as the school day ended. 'I need to be sure though, I need evidence', your mind was racing. 'For the time being, I should go see them...it's been too long as well'. You walked into the flower shop and had a friendly conversation with the old lady at the counter. You picked out some white roses with (f/c) (f/fw) into a bouquet and paid her. You walked out of the florist shop and waved goodbye to the lovely woman. She looked rather sad. "I guess she's well versed in the language of flowers", you mumbled, furrowing your brows empathetically. Kaito grew curious. 'Why would she need flowers?', he continued on her trail and was led to the cemetery.

Kaito looked around for a moment lost until he heard your soft voice ring through the silence of the gloomy place.

"Hello, mother, father", you kneeled down and placed the bouquet in front of their graves. Kaito's eyes widened. Your parents..it obvious. Their souls no longer reside on earth. On your knees, you smiled gently while rubbing their engraved stones. Kaito had never seen this side of you- it made his heart ache and he wanted to comfort you somehow. You began talking more. "I'm doing the best I can- I hope you're both proud of me. It's been 7 long years but I'm finally back home", You rubbed their stones with such care. It looked just as you left it. The caretaker here took care of them well. "I must thank Yori-san for taking care of you for so long", you laugh eerily. "I love you both and I miss your hugs and kisses every time I go to sleep. I wish you were both with me", you got up from your knees, dusting off whatever dust and dirt were on your skirt. "I'll be going then, wish me luck", you wipe away stray tears and left the cemetery.

But Kaito did not follow.

Once you were out of sight, he stood in front of your parents' grave. "Hi there, Mr and Mrs. l/n. I'm Kuroba Kaito by day and Kaitou KID by night..from what I've seen, your daughter is a strong opponent as the detective trying to capture me.. but- what I wanted to say most of all besides introduction is that I'm in love with her and I hope you honour me your blessings to pursue her". The wind blew gently through his hair as what was left of the sun kissed his skin. He bowed respectfully and was about to leave until Yori-san passed by him.

Yori: Ah Kuroba-kun! What are you doing here? It's getting late!

Kaito: Relax, Yori-san! I just wanted to pay a visit.

Yori: I see.. ah, that's white roses paired with f/c f/fw.. that arrangement..y/n-kun? Where is she?

Kaito: Eh, you know her?

Yori: Of course I do! I've been taking care of her parents' grave for a while now..that girl never changes.

Kaito: How so?

Yori: Well in the language of flowers..white roses symbolise respect to those dearest. Paired with f/c f/fw... it's the yearning and undying love of those lost or to pursue.

After talking more with Yori and the sunset was no longer seen, he decided to walk to Jii-chan's bar. He needs to plan up his next heist. The jewel that was released in the museum was called Dark Moon. Kaitou has to get to it and discover if it's pandora or not and maybe make some time to encounter or rather continue to pursue his Code-8 Detective Ace.
