Audrey's Pov:

Her lips felt so amazing as they moved quickly with mine. My lower back hit the counter of their kitchen; her hands running down my sides as she nipped at my bottom lip, which I gladly opened for her. Everything felt as if we were sharing our very first kiss once again.

I found myself being lifted up on the counter while she moaned quietly into my mouth. My emotions were on a tightrope, my heart was pounding, and my chest was heaving greatly as she pulled away for breath.

I slowly opened my eyes, but still had no time to really react, her teeth scraping gently along my jaw-line and down to my neck. My eyes rolled back, amazed that she could remember my exact sweet spots after all these years. My fingers ran down her back as her breath kissed against my collarbone. However, my brain seemed to finally register what was going on when her cold hand sneaked its way in the back of my shirt. I moved my hands to her hips and gently pushed her back.

Hazy eyes stared up at me, her hair falling out of her bun.

"Rey?" She whispered with a worried look. I sighed in frustration, pushing her away fully with a shake of my head. 'I can't do this to myself...' I thought while I jumped off the counter, landing on my good leg before leaning against the counter for more support. I chanced a look at the blue-eyed beauty, a pained expression on her gorgeous features. I clenched my jaw, pinching the bridge of my nose in angst. "What's wrong?"

"I'm not going to do this with you." I spoke truthfully, but painfully. She bit her lip, casting her eyes downwards while backing up to lean against the sink. I couldn't help but admire the goddess-like effect the sun was cast over her right now.

'Well, this certainly isn't helping anything!'

"Do what?" She questioned while crossing her arms over her chest, yet no eye contact was given. I frowned as I studied her facial features. I couldn't help but notice he nervous tick she was doing, rolling her jaw back and forth, something she'd done since before I knew her.

"I'm not going to be the girl who whenever you decide to come home is there for you..." I admitted sadly. "I came here because I wanted to give you back all the things you ever gave me. I wanted closure." I explained to her.

"Right." Her voice was barely audible.

I looked up to see her looking out the side window, her arms still crossed. I didn't say anything after that until she looked directly at me. I could tell she was upset, but I needed to do this for me. "This can't happen," I said firstly, my heart tearing. "It was nice seeing you though." I offered a sad smile, moving closer before kissing her cheek. I could feel her body tense.

"Yeah." She choked out as she moved away from me, rubbing her arm. My brows connected while I cast a glance at her. Her eyes spoke of sadness, but she wore a stern face returning the stare, She dropped her arms to her sides. "You should go." I looked at her for a moment then sighed. "What?" She asked.

"Nothing." I shrugged then turned to walk out of her kitchen. I looked at Autumn who nodded. "Thank you for the delicious breakfast, Mrs. Faye. We need to get going though. It was nice to see you guys again." I smiled somewhat at them as I turned around, grabbing my crutches and heading for the front door.

I couldn't chance turning around.

---

The rest of the day was so blurry that I didn't even realize that it was thanksgiving. I was in a daze, my brain kept sending me flashbacks of my entire life. As I sit here in the dining room of the Gisslen house, both of our families laughing together, the parents talking about how Autumn and Rylee are doing at UCLA. Hayden and Joel planning their karate stuff together.
