"Are you ready?"

Hyunjin smiled at the younger who nodded excitedly with a bright smile.

"We can finally start getting things like little onesies and pacifiers.
And we can look for names for
the little one."

"Yeah."

The older had entered his 20th
week of pregnancy yesterday,
it was halftime for him.

And now the two were on their
way to the doctor's to finally find
out their baby's gender.

"Mr Hwang?"

Hyunjin nodded as the nurse
called him and stood up like Seungmin when she motioned
them to follow her.

"Doctor Park will be here in a few minutes, please take a seat."

Both nodded softly and sat
down like she had told them,
the younger's gaze wandering
around in the room curiously.

There were posters of fetal development and different
positions of the baby in the
uterus as well as a few pictures
of newborn babies.

They were cute but Seungmin
already knew that their baby
would be much cuter.

"Mr Hwang?
Oh, you brought company today.
If I'm allowed to ask,
are you the other father of the child?"

"I am."

The brunette smiled proudly,
making Hyunjin giggle cutely.

"It's a pleasure to meet you then,
I'm doctor Park."

The doctor shook Seungmin's hand with a nod before already walking over to the examination table.

"Let's get started then?
I bet you're already excited
to see the little one."

And again the younger nodded excitedly while Hyunjin laid down and lifted his shirt up to reveal
his cute baby bump.

It had already grown quite a bit
and was definitely noticeable now,
even when the ravenette wore
baggy clothes.

But doctor Park had already told
him a few weeks ago that there
was nothing to be concerned about,
their baby was a healthy average
size and Hyunjin's body was just doing well with producing amniotic fluid and making space for the unborn to grow.

"I think you should take your
piercing out soon, since the skin
gets very stretched so it'll also
get irritated very easily.

An infection there is very painful.
But if you're scared that it heals,
there are special safety piercings especially for expecting people."

"Oh thank you, I already thought
of taking it out soon.
It hurts when baby kicks
my belly button"

Hyunjin chuckled softly,
their baby was a very energetic
one and even the older had to
admit that he loved it.

It was just too precious to feel the small child get all excited especially
if Seungmin was near and talking,
they'd move around and kick softly until someone would finally
give them attention.

"Okay, everything looks good so far.
The baby is currently sucking on
their thumb, you see it?"

Both nodded softly,
their gazes fixed on the
display that showed their
little unborn baby.

The little one was sleeping peacefully,
only moving their tiny legs slightly
as they sucked on their thumb and Hyunjin smiled at the funny feeling seeing his child move while
also feeling it at the same time.

"Head is also a good size just
like their body.
They grow well,
that's very good.

How about the fetal movements?
Are they an active child?"

"Oh yes, kicking almost all the time.
It's surprising that baby is
sleeping right now."

Seungmin was listening carefully
but still couldn't tear his gaze
away from watching his child,
this was so mesmerizing.

He couldn't believe that this
was their baby.

"Okay then, do you want
to know the gender?
Baby is in a good position today"

Doctor Park smiled when the
two shared a look before nodding with big smiles on their faces.

It was so precious how
excited they looked.

"Well then, let's have a look."

The following silence was unbearable,
you could practically hear the nervous parents' heartbeats as
the doctor moved the transducer
over Hyunjin's bump.

"It seems like you two are
having a little baby boy.
Congratulations."
