Chapter 1

7 years later

Omar stood outside of Judson Memorial Church. As he proceed to put out his cigarette and stepped in. He sat next to an older woman named Cynthia. He looked up at the ceiling. Dazing off that he had to do this.

" So today we have someone new joining us" Stephanie proceeded to say

" Yo soy Ander. Donde España . Or in English My name is Ander and I'm from Spain. Madrid to be specific .And I'm an alcoholic and potentially a drug addict " Ander said. Omar looked up and just had to see for himself and holy shit it was him. It was Ander. Yes it was Ander . Omar's ex. And for some reason this man was getting addiction treatment in New York. For some reason he was in New York. Was he following Guzman? Was he hunting Omar  down? What happened with him and Patrick? 

" Hello Ander " The group began to say in unison

" Would anyone else like to share or would we prefer Ander to continue ?" 

No one replied and Ander continued. 

" I was constantly pushed to do stuff and pretend growing up. Got depressed and didn't want to do anything and then got cancer. Ever since then all I wanted to do was have fun and do things that made me feel good no matter the consequence. And that's why I'm here today" Ander said

The meeting ended without Omar saying a word. 

" we should get coffee " Ander insisted

" And why is that " Omar turned around and asked

" They discourage forming new relationships. And since we already know each other that shouldn't be too hard besides. Its an excuse for me to catch up with Guzman. Its also common in AA" Ander lied he just really wanted to see Omar again but meeting Guzman is nice as well.

Two weeks later the boys proceeded to meet at the coffeeshop. Guzman and Nadia began dating again ever since Ander and him have been in New York. 

" How was meeting Nadia" Ander asked

" Great . She just finished her thesis draft" Guzman replied

The boys mostly just sat around. And Omar specifically gorged himself on pie since Guzman was paying. As Omar headed back to Nadia's apartment that him Lu and Nadia share. He got dressed up for work his job t the restaurant. But before he left Nadia asked

" So I heard you met with Ander today how was it?" 

" It was fine" Omar replied. 

Next was Omar's turn to speak at the meeting. Since Stephanie wouldn't sign his sheet otherwise.
