you were currently at a party you didn't want to be at. your friends dragged you to it since 'you needed to stop moping over a break up that happened months ago' well that's how they put it.
quite frankly, you were over the breakup but you just wanted to be alone. your friends took that as a call for help and pushed and pushed till you finally said you would go.
you tugged on your outfit feeling uncomfortable with being alone, your friends left your side as soon as you all walked through the door. you sort of expected that to happen but it was still annoying.
after taking one last sip of your drink you made your way to the door but not before bumping into somebody. you looked up and the person you were trying to avoid- your ex
you stand up quickly and try to walk off hoping he didn't see you till you hear "y/n?" making you turn around slowly as you wave awkwardly. "hi.." you start before you see a girl kiss his cheek.
"ah britney, this is y/n. i've told you about her?" he says to her as she nods shaking your hand "it's nice to meet you!" she says making you plaster a fake smile onto your face. "so are you here with anyone?" he asks making you cringe before a horrible idea comes to mind
"actually.. yeah i came her with somebody" you say hoping he'd drop it but he did the opposite. "who?" he asks as you mentally roll your eyes "they actually went.. to get a drink!" you say quickly making him squint his eyes "well i'm fine with waiting" he says before his girlfriend nods
a couple moments pass as you awkwardly wait for your 'date' to come. you then see one of your friends try to walk past you three before you grab her shoulder lightly pulling her into you. "there she is!" you say with a nervous smile trying to signal to her about what's going on
"liv? wow i didn't expect you two to get together" he starts making livs eyes go wide before she connects what's going on. "how long have you been together?" he says making you a stuttery-mess "well- uh you see" you start before liv rolls her eyes as she interrupts you "gosh, our time together has been so magical that i forgot myself!" she says with a smile on her face as she snuggles into you
'i always forget that shes an actress' you think to yourself as you nod at what liv says. the couple nods walking away but still looking at the two of you. livs puts a smile on her face as she talks "you need to trust me with what i'm about to do" she says making you confused and before you know it her lips are on yours
you tense up but then slowly relax into the kiss. you get so lost into it that you forget just why exactly shes kissing you. when she pulls away she looks at the couple finally walk away
you stand there awkwardly before she grabs your arm and pulls you outside. "you are a horrible actor" she says teasingly which makes you laugh.
"so i guess we're dating now?" you say sarcastically making her pause. "i mean i think we could do it.." she says before you look at her with a smile
"you're serious??" you ask as she nods "oh." you say as your face goes red making her smirk "god you're so adorable" she says rolling her eyes playfully before kissing you
